“I have an experience with God here that lifted a ton of weight that I have been carrying. I think I cried for an hour and a half and was met with complete love and compassion.”
“The 8:30 am Sunday Easter service was incredible. So powerful and moving. My father is a member and I use to be. I hope to attend with him more often. It is worth the drive.”
“I have the privilege of being a parishioner here, and I cannot recommend this parish highly enough. Whether you’re a lifelong Kansas City resident, visiting the area, or simply inquiring about the Catholic faith, this is a church you should not miss.
Not only is it one of the most beautiful churches you will ever see, but it is also led by one of the finest priests you could ever hope to meet. Fr. Don Willard is a truly selfless, genuine, and compassionate shepherd. His reverence for Christ, unwavering love for God, and tireless dedication to serving others are both inspiring and deeply humbling. He gives of himself generously and embodies everything a priest is called to be.
The parish is also blessed with an outstanding staff and volunteers who make everyone feel genuinely welcome. Neal, in particular, is one of the kindest and greatest people you’ll ever meet. His warmth and hospitality make you feel at home from the moment you walk through the doors.
If you’re looking for a place to worship God, grow in your faith, and become part of a welcoming parish family, I wholeheartedly encourage you to visit or join Our Lady of Perpetual Help.”
“Beautiful Church to visit and the people are so involved.
There is always so many activities planned to get to know eachother and make friends. It's Fantastic!”
“I have visited Concord Fortress of Hope church and absolutely loved the beautiful believers in this church. Everyone creates a friendly-welcoming environment and is ready to help you with your walk with Christ! On my way in Theanne rolled down her window and invited me to attend breakfast. Angela is at the front door making sure everyone is seen and welcomed. The praise is off the chain! Pastor Lindsay brings the Word of God forward in a thought provoking, powerful and Spirit filled way.”
“I love you all. Amazing mass today. I am proud of all of you. Mitchel asked if we are saved…. One Roman Catholic baptism for the forgiveness of sins. Heaven is your destination. I promise. -Christ The King”
“I've been going to this church since my twin 14yr old daughter's was New born babies 2009 March it's a great place very kind people there and helpful”
“I attended as a guest with my brother last Sunday. Everyone was so welcoming and gracious. The sermon was excellent. I love that this church really focuses on how to be better human beings and to stand up for justice. I'm sure I will make my way back for another service despite the distance.”
“One of the best Catholic Churches I have ever been a part of. Great place to meet Jesus in the sacraments and meet people in the community that care about you and the direction of your life.”
“I love that they continue the fireworks display annually and that they've gotten the parking situation under more control. Lovely display for the locals! They respond quickly to any questions and this is a wonderful community display! I noticed there wasn't a 5k this year but I'm sure there was a good business decision behind that.”
“I went to a memorial service for my dear friend of 23 1/2(1999),Aunt Ella Jo Tolbert. She was a wonderful person. “Oh if you want a home church in K.C.Ks. these folks truly Love The Lord. You can Feel it when you walk in the door. ?
They even have tons of stuff to donate your time and give back to Him.
They have a storehouse for the needy & lots of loving, caring folks that Truly Love The Lord.
The pastor is wonderful .
SS starts at 9:am I'm looking forward to seeing all of you in the near future. Oh people we have to get ready.”
“Jacqueline,
Thank you for your review. I plan to move nearby and looking for a Church. This sounds just like the kind of congregation I was looking for. They understand Jesus’ command for us to gather together!”
“We LOVE Hillcrest Preschool! So impressed with their care for students, responsiveness in communication, safety, fun environment, and focus on pre-academic skills. I’m so grateful for the two years our son has had here. We have had such a good first school experience at Hillcrest. Thank you to Gretchen and her amazing staff!”
“Beautiful church. For four years, I was part of the committee for the homeschool co-op that met at the old school building there. I taught there while my five kids went there to the co-op for a total of nine years. I think it’s great that they are renting the old school building out.”
“Salvation Army when I went homeless after the military I didn’t know they had services for veterans like this. The KCVA helped to get into the Salvation Army. I had to stay here due to indifferences at my house. My stay was comfortable and peaceful. The other Veterans are kind. My case worker Irene was very hard on me at first lol! After I was admitted in she was kind and loved all of us. Integration was easy. Irene will help you get more % to help in your case. She is there for you. Use her and let her know how you feel. She has been working there for 15 years (KC,Kansas). What an accomplishment. There are others that work with Irene that are just as important to you.
You have to do chores but they aren’t large duties. Roger will be on you. It’s good to clean your surroundings makes you feel good.
Breakfast isn’t the greatest but, that will change. Yvette serves breakfast she has to have thick skin because she didn’t make the food. She has no control on what is being served. Be nice to her always and your days will go better. Lunch and Dinner are more filling. Blake is one of the cooks trying to make new desserts and new meals. There is a “suggestion box” downstairs so fill it out. They have snack later on in the night. I met Tom from Salvation Army very stand up person he is kind and cordial. They have a gym for basketball and a small workout room.
The Veterans I met are my forever brothers. I will stay in touch after I leave. Thank you Salvation Army for helping me find my way.”
“The lady I talked to wasn’t able to help me that day (June tenth) from her facility but she stayed on the phone with me for 15 minutes looking for places that might serve me food”
“This is the best church I’ve ever been to! They are like a big family, taking care of their parishioners and offer free and low cost classes that have helped me, my family and several friends I brought in.”
“Traditional Latin Mass. The priests there are true men and sacrifice everything for the Glory of God. The Parish is very inviting. May God continue to bless the SSPX who have been keeping Tradition alive.”
