A sales associate by the name is Jace was extremely helpful. I wanted detailed pictures of the undercarriage and be actually went out of his way to get the vehicle onto a hoist in order to provide pictures. That is true transparency and honesty on his part. I recommend seeking out Jace at this location.

My wife purchased a car cash up front and it's been the most horrible experience for her as I listened and watched how bad customer relations are here at this carmax. First this car was purchased during the Christmas season and my wife requested a bow to come with the car as she wanted to take pictures of her new car, well.. after finding the car she wanted ,with no help from the salesman , they wanted to drive the car to our home instead of towing it which not only puts miles on the car but risks the chance of damage from either an accident or unseen objects that would hit the car. Not part of the agreement. Second when after letting them know they had to tow it to our house after multiple calls,which is very difficult to try and get the same person on the phone as the calls are routed from the main call center number,they finally show up with the car. No bow, then come to find out the car my wife purchased which had all the features and specs listed on the paperwork, had no heated seats and had a big scratch on the bumper that wasn't there,but did have all wheel drive. So trying to get someone to resolve this problem we encountered Michelle who said was the regional manager, and she was not, telling my wife that the bow belongs to carmax and we can't let it go. It's a bow people. So Michelle then proceeded to try and solve the issue by telling my wife, we can just pick up the car and give you your money back. This after a week of waiting and back and forth on the phone. Well long story short. They did a bait and switch. The Vin numbers didn't even match from the car she purchased to the one delivered. Then brought another car ,same make and model , that had the heated seats but no all wheel drive and they tried to convince her that it had "extra features " like remote start. NONE OF IT WORKS! and now told she has to take it to a dealership to get it fixed. Still no AWD and non working features. Treated like my wife's purchase should just be whatever they give her. It shouldn't of been this hard to get what you paid for and she's still waiting for them to make it right. Going on a month now. Carmax should be giving results, not excuses.

CarMax was very helpful and fair when I was looking to sell my vehicle. Their online quote process was convenient followed up by a quick in person evaluation of my car. They also quoted quite a bit higher than the dealership I have been a loyal new car purchaser from! Needless to say, I will take my business elsewhere now. CarMax offered me exactly what the online quote was. They demonstrated professionalism and courtesy throughout. I ultimately sold my car to another dealer but I will absolutely shop with CarMax if I purchase a pre-owned car in the future.

Honestly, was a little hesitant buying a “no haggle” car online at CarMax due to the expense but then, I buy other items online; so, I thought I would give it a whirl. Paul and the Wichita team were great! I enjoyed the upfront, ‘no haggle’ pricing as well as not feeling pressured to buy a vehicle the same day I test drove it. My only recommendation would be to have truck bed length and if the vehicle has a spare tire/spare tire kit or not available online? FYI—still with my 30 days and no complaints so far…

The entire process was very smooth. Only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because they absolutely refuse to discuss price even when many websites show a lower price for the car.

IF I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS I WOULD THAT’S WHAT THEY DESERVE.One I’ve only had my car less than 90 days from carmax and my check engine light came on. Before I took it in I checked all fluids and everything was fine. Once after taking it in, carmax calls me and tells me that my car was completely out of oil, with there being no cracks or holes. Then they call me a few days later to tell me that when emptying the oil they found shavings from the engine, which makes no sense when the first phone call said it had no oil at all. They told me that it would be a $10,000 fix and I’d have to pay for it because I neglected care of the car after only having it less that 2 months.After calling to the Hyundai dealerships, multiple of them, I have now found out that the oil that Carmax has been using to maintenance the car, even before I bought it was the wrong oil. Carmax also tried to telling me that Hyundai need serviced every 3,000 miles when it’s actually 5,000 miles. DO NOT GO TO BUY A CAR FROM THERE NOR GET YOUR CAR SERVICED. THEY WILL BE SUED

The team at carmax was so beyond amazing that I cannot even begin to explain. the Sales representative, the business office staff , the service department staff, All the way up to and including upper management , i have nothing but wonderful things to say about all of them, especially Kalynn in service and Jason Pearson in sales!!! They all went far and above what was required to make sure that I was taking care of in the best possible way!!!

Got our new to us vehicle in Oct '23, brought in from Arizona. This is our 2nd CarMax vehicle. 1st time was in 2006.We had no problem with that vehicle, and that is why we decided to return to make another purchase.Doug is and will be our go to, He'll do what he can to get you what you want & need. We couldn't remember our 2006 rep, not rememberable at all. We won't forget Doug.Shannon in the business office is pretty spectacular. Q always has a smile on his face and has been helpful when we had random questions when passing.Our vehicle needed a few items fixed up. They are doing everything they can as of now to make it perfect. The service department has been helpful, and keeping me informed on the things, staying on top of scheduling needs. I wanna say her name is Kaylee... is who've we dealt with.Also, they are not scheduling normal maintenance in house, they are so busy working the things for recently sold vehicles. It would be good to be able to have that done there, all in 1 place by the same people. For vehicle history, etc.The CarMax app/website is pretty great to locate vehicles. It would be pretty awesome if they could extend the app for customers to have a service portal to keep records from maintenance, done, doing, and future recommendations.Keeping memorable employees who seem to like what they do, that are good to customers, is how you keep customers coming back. We had found the car we wanted on the CarMax website and made an appointment with Andrew Morgan to test drive it. Everything went smoothly. They allowed us plenty of time to test drive to make sure the car was what we wanted. We didn’t want to take out a loan and they held the car a couple of days while we sorted out the payment, then it was an easy process to complete the transaction. Traded our old car in to them and the appraised value was acceptable. Overall, another smooth CarMax experience; our third purchase from them. Andrew went above and bring to make this a pleasant experience. He is a very valuable asset to CarMax.

I had a car transferred from Texas to test drive, and that part took a lot longer than expected. Apparently they had to clean it up/there were scratches and it took longer to get ready than usual. There were several different people involved and not all on the same page, apparently. I wanted to test drive it as soon as it was ready, because the car I had before had died and I was without a car. I set up a test drive, then someone contacted me about an express pickup, which sounded like it would be faster, but it canceled my original appointment, and would've taken several more days of waiting. So I called and asked if it was ready and I could just test drive it, because at this point the wait was over a week, maybe almost 2. And I needed a car. It was smooth sailing after that, though. I was able to get in, test drive and buy in the same night. My previous purchase with Carmax was really smooth, I had also had that car transferred and it was ready to go shortly after arriving. This was just a weird situation, made worse by my needing new transportation and miscommunication. I would recommend carmax and would still use them in the future. I enjoy how quick the process is once it gets going.
