Our company ordered 24 small arrangements for our office staff on Admin day and Dean's did such a fabulous job on them. They were beautiful, each one was a little different, all with cards and the employees name on them.. we couldn't be more happy and the ladies loved them!

I received an arrangement of flowers on Saturday at noon and by Monday evening all but 4 were dead. I made sure twice daily that the vase was full of water. I don't feel my friends who sent me these got their money's worth. I know that I will never use this flower shop.

I rarely write reviews, but several weeks have passed and I still feel strongly about the experience I had entering Dean’s Designs for the first time.I’ve lived in the College Hill area for many years, but had never been to Dean’s Designs. In late June I sought to purchase sympathy flowers for a friend whose spouse had passed, and I chose to go to a few stores (as opposed to buying online) in hopes of being able to see some examples of arrangements. I was properly masked and fully respecting the delicacy of the moment in terms of health and safety in commerce.Upon entering the store, I was greeted quite rudely by a woman, possibly the owner, working alone behind the register. If needed, I could triangulate the exact date, but it probably doesn’t matter.Her words were appropriate — ‘Can I help you?’ — but her tone of voice was unquestionably curt and, frankly, offensive. In such situations, I always seek to be as kind and patient as possible, giving others the benefit of the doubt. Yet for a business owner to speak to a customer in this manner is strange, at best. I will never know with certainty the reason for this woman’s harsh demeanor, and I cannot assert as a fact that her negativity stemmed from race, but I also cannot deny that it is hard for me to imagine her speaking to a customer of her own race in the same tone.Again, this is not a fact, but an inference based upon the tone of our entire exchange. Hopefully she was simply having a bad day, and I inadvertently received an expression of that.I stayed for a few minutes and asked some respectful questions about the products and prices — as a reminder, properly masked and distanced — and she remained tense, and her tone curt, for all but the last few sentences of our exchange.I must presume that the company offers beautiful floral arrangements, but unfortunately my first and last experience with Dean’s Designs was a brief but intense disappointment on the human level.

I’ve sent my mom a few floral bouquets from Dean’s and each time, the experience is excellent. I live in another city, so I order on-line and it’s super easy. The flowers always look just like the online photos and my mom is always happy with her beautiful flowers. Thank you, Dean’s Designs.
