I went to this UPS Store (21st & Tyler, Wichita) to return Amazon chairs. One employee told me I had to tape multiple boxes together, so I bought tape right there in the store and did exactly what they said. Then another employee came over and said it still wouldn’t work because Amazon only provided one label. In other words, they made me spend money, then immediately contradicted themselves.
When I asked what the real solution was, instead of helping, they literally carried my boxes outside and told me to leave. Later, I called another UPS Store and was told the simple fix in 30 seconds: just call Amazon and get an extra label. That’s it.
To make matters worse, after I filed a complaint, the owner called me — not to apologize, but to blame me and defend his staff’s behavior. It’s clear the attitude comes from the top, and if you look at other reviews, you’ll see I’m not the only one who’s had bad experiences here.
This store is unprofessional from the employees all the way up to the owner. Save yourself the headache and go to another UPS Store in town.

The Caucasian girl with the brown hair past the shoulders is extremely rude. She could use customer service training. The store is also a mess.

Wow! I couldn’t tell you the last time I used UPS to ship a package. After having a problem with the post office, I vowed to not ship with them again and came to my neighborhood UPS. The clerk was incredibly nice, fast, friendly and made me feel confident in my choice. AND it was cheaper than I expected !

Rude, hostile, inefficient customer service provided by female young employee at counter. Very visible that she hates her job, employee ID 174589, when asked to speak to her supervisor she alluded to her supervisor not caring how her customer service is. Saying that her supervisor will side with her on anything and that she was out the day. Another customer saw how Disrespectful she was being with me, and so he came to my aid to try to help. The female employee then proceeded to mock me. I have been to that UPS on 21st and Tyler Rd other Times and it is visible to see that customers avoid being serviced by her and rather wait for the next counter person available. She informed that she did not know how to place an apartment number on the address that I had given her which resulted in the package not being delivered correctly, even though an extra fee had been paid for two day service.

The wrong label was placed on my return, I was only given the receipt for them printing my label. I can't track the box and I can't file a claim with UPS because I don't have the tracking number that was actually placed on the box. I was told to go to the main hub, I drive across town and they no longer serve the public. I return to this location and ask for the employee who was previously able to call and connect with someone at the main UPS hub to call me. Of course that didn't happen either. Mistakes happen but I have done all the leg work and made all the calls just to be told I need the tracking number on the box. Not even so much as an apology from these people and I am now out 60.00, plus gas, and time. I was told they could not help me because they don't have access to the entire UPS data base and can't possibly figure out what label was put on my return. Before someone replies saying, they are doing all they can...spare me the b.s. you all have done nothing but cost me money. If you want to do something, either find my return or pay me the money you have cost me plus the fee you charged me for printing the wrong label. This is by far the most poorly managed, inconsiderate, and asinine UPS store location in town .

Returning packages at this store is a nightmare. It’s always something that seems to prevent them from returning things. Be sure to bring your own tape to close packages as this store must be hurting if the can’t tape a package closed. Seems like the other store aren’t though!

First time returning a package and it was a horrible experience. Younger blonde lady in there was really rude and was talking to me like I'm stupid for asking questions.

Associates are helpful but seem to be upset about something, not the brightest mood. They will print your label at a cost, so print yours in advance.

I actually seem to be in this store 2-3 times a month 😮 I’m forever sending stuff to my kids/grandkids. Every time I have had nothing but good experiences! Today was extra, the line, as usual, was to the door and I was shipping out and not sending an amazon return so I waited patiently while the shipping clerk was waiting on Another customer. Mean while 10-15 people dropped their returns and exited the store and I was still waiting on the shipping clerk. She was helping an elderly woman who had not returned anything before, not knowing what to do or how to do it and the clerk (Faith) calmly and slowly explained to her how it works, then the customer continued to ask numerous questions which Faith again, calmly answered even though the line was increasingly getting longer. Faith did not get frustrated, or give her short answers. So to that, thank you Faith for your patience and calming demeanor as I too, will be that age one day and hope to be treated with as much patience and respect!! Well done!!

I had to fax a lien release. With a cover sheet, the fax was 4 pages. The employee fed the document automatically and 2 sheets stuck together. I waited while he kept calling other customers over and helped them. His manager told him to send it again (exactly what the recipient asked me NOT to do.) and instead of feeding the sheets individually, one after the other, he repeated his first fax sending with an identical result. He went ahead and charged me for 4 pages, but only after calling more customers from the line and waiting on them.
I understand that faxes are outdated, but if you can’t properly provide a service, don’t offer it and ABSOLUTELY don’t charge for it after making the customer wait.
