I would have given this store a five star rating, because their product is great, but their customer service seems to be failing. I realize that business can be stressful during the holidays. However I am less inclined to visit the store if the woman answering the phone cannot spare 2 seconds of her time or manage a basic polite demeanor.

You know all those great butcher shops you see on TV and social media? This's ain't it. Like most butcher shops in Wichita (all of them?), it has a very small selection of beef, pork, and chicken, with the majority of items being frozen. I have tried them off and on over the years, and every time I'm amazed they stay in business. My last visit was for a pork shoulder and a turkey breast. They had no turkey breasts, and the pork shoulder was literally double the price of Dillons across the street. ($45 for a run of the mill pork shoulder? Please.....)I saw they had cheese curds, something you don't see much locally. I picked up a package to examine it, half of the orange cheddar curds had turned white from excess moisture and were slimy. Yuck. The lady behind the counter more or less scowled at me when I walked in, so after I saw that nothing had changed, I turned around went to Dillons. It's almost like Wichita doesn't know what a real butcher shop looks like. Got me, but doubtful I'll ever step foot in a Yoders again.

All the proteins are very high quality. Prices are good and people are even better! Highly recommend over your typical grocery store butchers. Also have a huge selection of pickled veggies and jellies/jams etc.

The experience at this location was good, except the Associates forgot to rang up my T-Bone steak I asked for. That was very disappointing!

Ya gotta love them sweet rolls! No one else makes 'em like these. They're well worth the cost. Yummy!

I just went there 15 minutes before closing and the place had exactly what I was after 12lb.porkbutlt looks good will slow cook overnight know more tomorrow ??

This is specifically concerning the Yoder on Central in Wichita. Every year we are gifted a bundle by a family member. Two years in a row they didn't have my preordered bundle prepared. Additionally, they took a credit card number over the phone last year from the person purchasing the bundle but then tried to charge me up on pickup. This year they told me it hadn't been paid for but found the card number given for the order scribbled on a piece of paper along with other card numbers in plain site near the register. This doesn't seem like good practice.

My first time shopping at Yoder's and I love the choice of meat's they had to offer and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable and will continue shopping with them.

When I want a good steak I go to Yoder meats. Tender and juicy. The reason for only four stars is they never have lamb chops! Otherwise they are a great butcher shop.

Tbones were grrr8!! However, we also purchased frozen shrimp 2day; we eat a lot of shrimp cocktail, however, haven't previously purchased shrimp at Yoder Meats.We ran the frozen shrimp under cold water to thaw (normal routine) and the shrimp were SO slimy, arghhh.......we threw entire bag away.I called to let Yoder meats know & the young male's response: "Oh, ok gr8, thx for letting us know!" Yikes.....might need way more customer srvc training.
