The host is welcoming and the breakfast exceptional. Rooms are a little small but plenty of space for lounging in the common area.Walkability: Walk all over the town twice in an hour. Nice little grocery store specialized with smoked meats.

If you want a warm welcoming place to stay this is it! The owners are so nice and very welcoming to their bed and breakfast. The rooms were different as far as decorations go. All had a down home feel to them with upgraded bathrooms with amazing glass showers. The beds were super comfy and had plenty of room for all our clothes in the dressers. Rooms also had television which we didn't use. Now to the breakfast part. You better be hungry when you go downstairs for breakfast. Susan and her husband Joe make sure you are fed well! From pancakes to scrambled eggs with cheese and ham to the amazing apple French toast. So much food you just have to experience it for yourself. We definitely have a place we will be returning to next time we go to see family in Wilson, Kansas. Thank you Joe and Susan for such a wonderful experience, amazing food and the conversations we had. We will be back to visit and definitely be staying with y'all.

We stayed for two nights last week and it was everything we hoped it would be! Susan was such a gracious host as well as a great cook! The room was comfortable and quaint with very modern updates to the bathroom. We met two other couples on our stay and had interesting conversations with both. This was our first experience with a B&B, but I'm sure it won't be our last.

It was a great experience for my family. The rooms each had there own bathrooms which were clean and unexpectedly roomy. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was hardy, delicious, and amazing spread. There was something for everyone and more than enough to eat. Would 100% stay again.

From the moment my family and I arrived at Simple Haven we were immediately welcomed with open arms by not only Susan, but her entire family! My family and I went to Wilson under unfortunate circumstances, and Susan made our entire stay so warm and inviting. The house is beautiful, and the little details that surround you make it feel like the perfect home away from home. Susan studied culinary arts abroad and needless to say, the food was astonishing. The entire family was so hospitable, kind, caring, and passionate about the history of their small town and beautiful house. We cannot thank them enough for such an incredible stay, and we are so lucky that our family has now grown by 4! We will absolutely be back!

We recently had to travel to Wilson for a family funeral, my wife's mother passed so we needed to be there for several days to make arrangements. I was somewhat skeptical about a B and B for this occasion, but as it turned out Susan and Joe are extra ordinary people and went above and beyond to make our stay extremely comfortable, and I am confident in saying we will be back as well as my wife has a new life long friend in Susan. Susan, the host, is awesome. She is a great chef. Out breakfasts were great. She finds out what you don't like and then builds a wonderful breakfast. She provides fruit, potatoes, wonderful creations with eggs, muffins, biscuit. Everything is made from scratch. You will be asking for recipes. The house is very comfortable. The rooms are great. Will highly recommend this place. We will be back.

This is a lovely place where to spend a nice and quiet time. If you are cruising Kansas and need a place to spend the night in Wilson, or you simply want to have a quiet get away time, I hightly suggest this place. Susi and her husband are wonderful hosts, and the breakfast was delicious too. Great experience and it was so nice to meet them both.

My husband and I stayed here a few years ago it is a place I would stay at again. I have told so many family and friends about this B&B. The owner was so amazing she does go above and beyond.

We had the most wonderful stay at Simple Haven. Susan and Joe made us feel very comfortable and it was a quick drive to the beautiful Wilson Lake State Park where I took the kids swimming every day. The lake is river fed, clean and has great little swim beaches. We had two rooms on the upper level which had a convenient small fridge and a comfy sitting area, offering us some privacy. Breakfast was just absolutely delicious. Susan is a fantastic cook, and it and a great way to start a busy day. I highly recommend.
