Grider Hill has turned into a joke. Beginning of the season and they have no public restrooms. Supposedly working on a new bath house but just started the construction not even anywhere close to being done so anybody coming here needs to make sure they use the bathroom before they get to the dock. What an inconvenience . At least last year they had porta potties on the dock that people could use not this year so be warned. The place looks like it's falling apart. Looks like they should have spent their money on the dock area before they spent money building a stone wall around the lodge. They need to step their game up for sure, all the money this place makes you would think that they could put it back into making this place what it used to be.

Four of us went on a charter fishing trip for stripers and had a fantastic time. Our guide was a pleasure to be with and we each got a fish.

No dock plumbing Port o lets in sun on a hot day And it’s all next to the ship store… And that’s the highlight! No pump out, the auxiliary tank is in the parking lot and oozes No parking, old remnants of broken docks laying in parking spaces Restaurant closed (probably by the health department) Lodge rooms are incredibly overpriced and actually smaller than my freshman dorm in ‘92 The dock ramp is listing 20 degrees to starboard making the broken wheel on one of the acailavle 2 carts head straight for the lake There’s supposed to be a water taxi but apparently he quit

I love Grider Hill and it’s location on the lake. The lodge is located in the middle of everything. My brother, son and nephew have slips for their boats there. I went down several weeks ago and stayed in the lodge. The room was clean enough and had large windows to see lake. The rooms must be set up for fishermen. There were two double beds comfortable enough but you could barely squeeze by to get to small bathroom. Coffee pot, but no fridge. No hanger hooks to hang anything on. No chairs. Shower very small and slippery with no rails to hold on to. Toilet stopped up late afternoon and office was closed, so had no toilet The office staff was nice enough, but it appeared a manager was there when I checked out. The dock has gone down and I hate to see this. The restaurant which has delicious food can only open on weekends because of customers. The shower room and bathroom which are very nice are locked up. I was disappointed. Didn’t even go in the sales area to look for shirts, etc. I hope somebody will buy this beautiful place who cares and bring it back up.
