After not receiving a package which was marked as delivered, I filed a claim with the Alexandria Branch of the United States Postal Service. I received a timely phone call from the Alexandria Branch, who informed me that they personally investigated the matter. They checked the mailboxes at my apartment complex to assure it had not been placed in a different mailbox by accident, as well as the special package boxes within the apartment complex clubhouse. They personally spoke with staff at the apartment complex in another attempt to locate the package.
Though they were unable to locate the package, they sincerely apologized for the oversight and directed me through filing the appropriate claims. I am so grateful for all of the assistance I received in this matter.

What's funny is if you look at the reviews for USPS offices in rural areas they are mostly positive reviews, but then look at the reviews for urban offices and easily 90 percent are negative. Says a lot about your employees don't it. USPS has become a total joke and has been for some time now. Prime example, I remember back in the 90s I could send a letter) parcel from Denver to Michigan and it would arrive in 2-3 days max, currently I'm waiting on a small parcel shipped from Dallas that went all the way to Romulus, Mi and now en route to Kentucky where I live. It's been 7 days and it just left Michigan so likely ANOTHER 2-3 days before arriving here. USPS needs a serious dismantling. 😡

The people I spoke with were helpful and polite. I was there for a passport appointment. Lance explained the paperwork and what to expect after the form was submitted. Thank you!

They are always super friendly and helpful when I come in. Additionally, they helped me fix an issue with a mail forwarded package in a timely manner.

Pick up your PHONE. Why have a number if no one is there to PICK IT UP! You stuffed a package inside my mailbox and I cant get it out!

Ordered a limited edition item that is now sold out and it’s been marked as delivered for 3 days now and still no package. I called and they said they forgot to deliver it because it was hidden on the truck and it should be there the next day. Next day comes and still no package so I call again and they say it’s been delivered to the mail box but there is no key to open the package box and nothing saying it’s there. More upset because I can’t just re order the item now that’s it’s sold out. Wish they would’ve just left it on the porch instead.

Goes days if not weeks without delivering our mail because a neighbor parks in front of our mailbox. Terrible service and very concerning that we don’t get our mail.

I have nothing but great things to say about the Alexandria, KY USPS branch! I have lived in Alexandria for 30+ years and never had an issue with this branch! I wish I had left more reviews over the years, but I have ALWAYS received items very fast! And the current staff has been nothing short of great as well! Great job Alexandria, KY USPS branch!!! Thanks for your awesome service to the community!!! ?✌??

Fastest post office ever and super nice. I went there for my passport appointment, and there was only one worker who was handling everything really fast. He even let me retake my passport picture because I didn’t like it, and when I messed up on the form, he gave me another one. While I was there, several customers came after me and the worker was very nice to everyone and handled their packages fast. It was just overall a good experience compared to other post offices.
