Both tanning beds don't work, the gym equipment is mediocre, and the plans are expensive. Now my main complaint is don't join and try to cancel because they will lock you in contract with no cancellations. 0/10 don't recommend, horrible experience.

Save yourself a lot of headache and money. Find a locally owned gym. The equipment hardly ever works properly here and they will take you for every penny they can. There’s no way to reach out for help if you have concerns beyond what the local office can do. The customer service line takes you to the parent company where they will just ultimately refer you back to your local office and nothing will be resolved. Strongly do not recommend this place.

The lady who sign me and my husband up lied the whole time. They charge $18 a month but they don't It's 18 every 2 weeks They charge another charge twice a year for maintenance fee 33.00 charged my husband $33 in January and then another $33 in March. The lady at signed me up on silver sneakers Just put my membership on hold because I was paying regular. Because she didn't know how to do it. They finally got someone that could and knew how. It's an awful place. As much as I pay a month you have to pay extra for the tanning beds. This place is not worth it. There's never no one in there I don't feel safe. They got cameras their employees are never around.

Don’t come here, my card kept getting disable and every time I’d call they said they turned it back on but never did

Would give negative stars if possible. I joined this gym while in town for a travel nursing contract. After moving home, I tried to freeze my membership/talk about options with my membership. I called multiple times to which many people took my name/number, and I never received a response. I finally gave up and decided to wait until my contract ended (last month). Since then, I have called 30-50 times to speak with someone. I live halfway across the country, so I cannot go in to cancel. I have tried to cancel at locations in my state, but since they are not my home gym, I can't. I have not received a single response. I have called. Left voicemails. Left messages. Sent emails. Literally everything. And have not received a single answer back. It is beyond frustrating at this point. I have never, ever in my life left a negative review, and I did not hesitate with this one. Blatantly ignoring phone calls and emails is so unprofessional and I would never recommend this gym to anyone for this reason.

Staff is EXCELLENT (especially Alex). 2 treadmills have been down for at least 6 months along with a couple of TV's. The lady that does the cleaning does a FANTASTIC job. Printer is still out of ink I think.

The website is trash. Don't expect anyone to respond to your emails and good luck finding any pricing details. Called the gym and had to leave a message only to get a response a week later. Went to the gym, and no one was there to assist me with anything. Great business model. How this place stays afloat is unknown.

Fitness facility is adequate, good luck cancelling your service, I cancelled service over a month ago (have fulfilled my contract, membership cannot be cancelled by phone or online, you are forced to go to the gym, show ID and sign a cancelation form when someone is available at their convenience) and have been charged 3 times for the monthly membership since cancelation, no one at the gym ever answers the phone, do not sign up you will never get out! Would NOT recommend!

I joined anytime fitness in 2016. They offered a first responder/veteran rate and I signed up for it. After a few years I noticed my rates increase without being told, it was a simple mistake and they made it right when I brought it up. I stopped going for about a year then rejoined in 2020. I signed up under the same program which was quoted under $35 a month. I signed up and never checked on it. Someone made a mistake logging my plan and set it up for $33.92 bi-weekly instead of monthly. So for 2 years I paid double what I should have paid. I recently discovered this and I tried for a month to get it corrected with no luck. I didn’t want a refund, just my overage credited to my account, I’d stay a member and feel much better about being overcharged for so long, so a win for everyone. The current GM wasn’t any help and said he was being essentially stonewalled from the district manager. After a month I submitted a complaint on the corporate page and was contacted by the same DM that had been avoiding me for a month. That same DM has now included the VP. The only answer I’ve gotten is that I signed a contract (which is true but it was for half what I paid) and when that was setup someone made an error, which is fine, people are human. My issue here is being told to literally just eat it. I’ve dumped thousands into the place over the years and they legit do not care to even try and take the first step to make it right. Anyone is free to choose any gym they’d like, but I can assure you that Anytime Fitness in Russell,Ky will not do a thing to help if something goes wrong. Even if it’s provably their fault. Feel free to share and tag. I’m just trying to get the word out on very underhanded practices that ended up costing me over $600 in overcharges that they will in no way work to correct And DO NOT SIGN your contract on the iPad like they make you, have it printed and see every single detail. I made this mistake because I had a good relationship with the folks there at the time and never thought I’d be in this situation. At the end of the day $600 isn’t a fortune lost. But to be tossed Aside after years of patronage when pointing out their own mistake is a pretty bad business practice.

Canceling your membership requires a driver’s license, a passport, three credit reports, ten tax returns, a note from your parent or legal guardian, a doctor’s note, a blood sample, dental records, an original birth certificate (no copies), a death certificate, seven generations of your mother’s maiden names, and patents of nobility. Only one person is able to process the cancellation, and his/her office hours are between 3:00 and 3:01 a.m. If you meet all of these requirements, you will still be charged for another 30 days plus a $50 cancellation fee. Am I exaggerating? Yes, but not by much.

Awful. Wish I could rate lower. Provided, via email, voicemails, and in person, over 30 day notification that wished to cancel. No response. Now, they wish to charge me for a cancellation fee and still charging me for a monthly payment.

Dealing with this gym to end a membership and personal training has been a nightmare. I requested to cancel both and was still charged for it even after requesting the cancel. Be sure to read your contract closely because they will definitely take advantage of you. They said they wouldn’t refund my money because I requested to cancel via written notice 29 days in advance when the contract (in tiny print of course) said 30. I was not provided with where to send this notice of cancellation until the 29th day. Be sure to cancel over a month in advance or you will get taken advantage of. Be sure to provide a written notice to the gym that you’d like to cancel way in advance. In addition, you will probably need to come to visit the physical location if you need any kind of help because it seems like they hardly ever answer their phones.

I didn't want to do this but looks like I'm going to have to do this I joined this gym in 2020 of January and I thought this gym was great all until one of the trainers burned me by making me think I was signing a 6 month contract for personal training when she lied and signed me up for a year and refused to print the contract so I was unable to catch the mistake and she thought she was slick but I caught the mistake and upon wanting to cancel and telling them I wanted to cancel at 6 months which ended up being the 24th of the 6 months and that same day I wanted to cancel they charged my boyfriends credit card 735.00 I've tried talking with them they are unwilling to admit there wrong doing and then the trainer has the nerve to say im delinquent first of all no I'm not!!! Do not trust the trainers that say anything when signing up because they will trick you I personally know this because it happened to me personally they are unwilling to admit that they are wrong they keep saying I need credit card statements I said no you know what you took why should I have to prove anything also I've asked to talk to the owner i'm told he is on vacation this sounds insane they said I would have to email to cancel I've tried to talk to a person and several people keep saying this is a privately owned company and I don't deal with it , I told them I would be disputing the charges on there behalf with my credit card as fraud and they act like it doesn't bother them that they lied to me about it , I confronted the manager about the dishonesty and she just sat there like it didn't matter saying she needed credit card statements, I've called the corporate number several times and nothing no one gets back with me period I've exhausted all options when trying to resolve the issue and I'm quite frankly pissed and don't even want to walk back in there when there is fake people who will deceive you without even caring that they are lying to do I repeat do not sign up for personal training because they will sign you up for longer than you agreed to and they will refuse to print you the contract so you cannot catch there mistake til its too late then they will make up a lie and say why they can't give you your money back worst gym experience I have ever been too dishonesty isn't ok nor should it be period

Love that I can come late at night when it’s not crowded bc I get anxiety around crowds! All the workers I’ve met so far have been so nice & helpful to me! I love how clean the entire gym is & I’m so glad there’s sanitizing spray that i can use to clean the equipment too! The only complaint I have is a major reason I signed up was to tan & I’ve told 4 different workers about the beds not working, it didn’t work with my key fob or theirs to start the beds! If they aren’t working a note on the door out of order would’ve been a nice thing to do bc I’ve undressed numerous times, applied my lotion, made sure the beds were extra clean then ring in my key fob and pressed the plus sign for my 15 minutes & hit start button, everything & wouldn’t had to have done all this with a simple note on the door, needless to say at least when I went to fitness world I got very dark , n joined here n now have lost a great portion of my tan! I still want to stay with u all bc it’s also closer to me& I’m sure u will make this up to me some way! Thank you all for making me feel welcome ❤️??
