Worst hospital ever and should be considered a slaughter house. Literally sat in the er for more than 4 hrs with no treatment and sent home with no help. I had covid and I am hi risk patient and they didn’t even take the time to check in on me just keep calling people back that came in after claiming that my illness wasn’t important enough to be acknowledged. They sent me home with Morton and said get better. I never got put in a room and sat in the lobby passing out from the dizziness I felt. I almost threw up and my whole body ached. They were rude when I called and complained and literally told me that there were more patients more important than me and that I wasn’t a priority. I will never go back to this hospital for emergency services. I even had to take my husband 2 weeks prior for secret chest and him clutching his chest with a possible heart attack, because he has a clotting disorder, and the left him in the lobby for 5 hours before giving him a bed and then sent him home with muscle relaxers and zofran. They don’t care about the patients, they just want a paycheck. Even my family doctor was appalled at how I was treated and the fact that they refused to prescribe me the paxlovid so I could get better. If I could give a 0 I would.

My name is John G . I was here today and also one time before this. After reading all the bad reviews I'd like to correct the troll that kept giving one star. It isn't dirty the staff was GREAT!(You treat people with kindness you get it in return, treat them like trash and that's where you get thrown)That being said both times I was in and out pretty fast. Kind of like the troll in these reviews is in and out of their moms sock drawer.

KDMC is being call King’s Daughters’ (slaughter Center) by many medical professionals that are associated with KDMC ED. I am a retired RN and did work in ER’s at times. I have never experienced such horrific dangerous, poor, rude treatment in my life. There are too many experiences to report here. I am 76 and temporarily using a w/c and usually have to call for transport. The last visit I made, my helper, who think God has a good base of medical knowledge came in and She woke me up when she arrived and the minute I set up everything was popping in and out in my field of vision. Shed had me lay back down and called 911. I don’t recall he next hour or so but she said my body purged itself of all excretory waste products. She got me cleanand the paramedics came. After arriving at E R they put me in a chair in the waiting area. One staff member told me yo get my “ass” off the carrier. I was in the waiting area quite a while. And evertime I would have a little bile come up I also had a very small amt of stool out. I have never been so humiliated in my life. After I was taken back I had an RN yell at me and threw a plastic bedan at me when I requested one. i won’t go into several other trips where i was treated the same or worse.?This place has got to be cleaned up (referring to staff) Rather than the administration spend a little of the money they are scraping in day sfter day!If you need real medical help call Patriot Ambulance that will take or your loved ones for excellent care at rhe St.mary’s Emergency Dept. in Ironton , Ohio. They are completely able to provide full medical and emergency care you need and they will admit you to any area hospial that you request if needed. If you call 911 you will be taken to KDMC. Of course there are some medical emergencies where you need to go to the closest facility. I hope you have a. Very healthy happy life and never have to experience this type of abuse,Sincerely,Sherry

I took my fiancee for Vomiting, seizures, and a fall that caused him to hit their head. When we arrived they ran EKG's and didn't give him the results. The only "treatment" they did for 4 hours was saline and Zofran. When it came time for discharge they made a huge deal about having to follow up with cardiology but wouldn't tell us why. When we finally got our paperwork the nurse had to chase us down and give them a different set of paperwork that didn't have a referral to cardiology or a follow up with a primary care doctor. Beside the absolute headache that was the visit our room had someone elses blood on the trash can and table. If you need emergency care I suggest going somewhere else if you want answers.

I took my sister here last night because she was having severe abdominal pain which had to be unbearable for her to even request going to an ER. We waited in ER waiting room 7 hours! I could have understood 2-3 or even 4 hours ,but 7 hours?! It’s ridiculous to make people wait that long.

This hospital failed my husband who is now deceased. One week after surgery to reconnect his colon he was dead. He became septic. No antibiotics sent home upon discharge.

I don’t know what the people are talking about that gave it a 1 star. Had to go here while I was passing through the area because urgent care was closed. I was in and out in 3 hours. The place was clean and the people were nice and professional

I am a travel nurse and I was treated so bad. Definitely due to my age because I am older. I have never been treated that bad anywhere I have worked. I have plenty of work experience but evidently I didn't fit in due to my age

People have died in this lobby waiting for care. If you have a choice go anywhere else. These doctors and staff don't care about you or your emergency.

Everytime I've gone here for emergency care it's been far worse than just poor care. First off it takes forever to get seen even if your care is more emergent than others. I understand a system but some things are worth breaking an "entry by seen" patient system. Second off, anytime I've ever been seen at this hospital it's been worse than just bad care. I came in the other day after I wrecked on my motorcycle. Had several bad injuries including: broken eye socket, chin split open to the bone, hip scraped down to the muscle, concussion, and road rash all over me. All they could be bothered to do was skin glue my hip muscle and chin muscles back together, put a couple patches on me and sent me on my way. Didn't tell me about my concussion, didn't give me stitches, didn't do anything about my broken eye socket, and didn't give me any pain meds or ointment for the rest of my injuries. This hospital gives some of the most lazy and unworthy care I've experienced in my life from a hospital. I will never be returning. I would rather go across the bridge to St. Mary's. My official recommendation: DONT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL, save yourself the worry and pain and go somewhere where your pain and injuries will actually be cared for properly.

Honestly never going here again in my life even if I’m lifeless. Waited 4 hours in the waiting room for my 2 year old, saw a baby cockroach on the floor, fire alarm went off, placed in a room finally and was given X-rays, wanted blood work and an IV placed to “get fluids in him” even after told he’s eating and drinking fine, 6-8 nurses stormed the room over a toddler to “hold him down”, nurse was rough with my child just looking for a vein! Ripping his arms and legs back and forth squeezing him so hard he was crying in pain and was asked to stop, didn’t stop instead gives us a dirty look and shakes her head, went and asked for the nice nurse that got along with my child, was refused and told another nurse was in charge, said we wasn’t comfortable with their medical advice or assistance anymore and we’d like to leave, was told we may not be allowed to be discharged, told that the nurse was getting the doctor to talk to us about the risk of leaving against their medical advice. The nurse that was rude to my child and us was brought in and scolds us that she has kids and knows what she’s doing since it’s her job. Proceeds to talk about us behind us as we are leaving. Such a bad experience. Waiting room needs the floors swept and mopped, no wonder there’s roaches. All over my child running a fever and fussy, viral tests came back negative so what’s the reason for an X-Ray and blood work? Money is why…. Highly suggest going somewhere first and use this hell as a last resort sat here for 6+ hours during our visit just for them to do a test X-ray and give him Tylenol

I had to go there in April, I was having some pretty tough pain for a couple days.. The Staff was nice and helped me, the wait was very long and tough with so many people coughing. The place was packed. They do your health screen in stages, but there’s evidence they are still working on your case. The Dr talked to me he had already talked to a specialist about my case. I was admitted and surgery plans were made for following day. The Dr was impressive as well as the staff, I was hurting, the wait was long but they were doing all they could do and they did well, relieved my pain, stabled my vitals and took me to a room. I asked one of the nurses if it was always like that and he said yes. With the pressure and serious issues, I’d say these people are HEROS.

Worst medical care facility I've ever seen my entire life. Will not go back or have family taken there. Shame they bought out Bellefonte just to shut it down.

Brought my wife to the kdmc er tonight , people had already been waiting to be seen for 6+ hours and we sat for 4 hrs and only when we started walking to walk out the door, suddenly a doctor was available to see my wife, they lied to her , she was told she had gi. And they was going to call in some meds and she could leave, but after waiting almost another hour then she was told she would have to take labs before she could get the medication. If the people in the er don't want to help patients and do there job, then they need to find employment elsewhere. And let someone who actually cares about what there doing have a Crack at it. Shame Bellefonte hospital is closed now we are stuck with the kdmc er flunkies
