I was in the store to get a dress, on Tuesday, May 3, at Ashland Ky, and a manager named Amy was sitting on the floor filling out job applications and refused to check me out, another employee checked me out and was amazing and helped me with everything I needed.

I was in Rue 21 at the Ashland town center today 1/12/2020 with my 16 year old daughter looking at dresses for a cruise we will be taking. I shop there often and I have always gone into the dressing room to help my daughter, who again is an under age minor, to zip up and make sure that the cleavage and dress length is acceptable. An associate knocked on the door, I replied occupied. She then tells me that one of us needs to come out of the dressing room, so I am confused and we exit the dressing room. This woman who is named amanda and identifies herself as “the head manager” is on the phone with security calling and reporting us for being in the dressing room together. So at this point I am furious. As many times as I have been in there I have never in my life been treated this way. When I confront her she hangs up the phone with security and proceeds to tell me that it is mall securities policy that two “adults” can not be in the same dressing room. Well obviously I was in there with my daughter who again is an underage minor. She was very rude when I asked for management she identified herself as the “top management”. When I asked for the other one who has been there before when I was in there with my daughter, she informed me she was under her and no longer there. She gave me the number to corporate who I will be calling in the morning. I was seriously Being treated like a criminal for assisting an underage minor in the dressing room. I would also like to point out that we have previously been in Victoria secret today and I was able to assist my underage minor in the dressing room. I also went back and spoke with the Victoria secret manager to ask her if this was indeed mall policy or Amanda’s power trip since she was the “head manager” and the Victoria secret manager assured me she has been with the store for 20 years and that has never been a mall security policy. I am beyond furious by how I was being treated like a criminal and she had security on the phone before I could even walk out, I mean what did she want me to do walk out and leave my daughter to try and unzip and undress a dress she was trying on. Ridiculous !!

rue 21 has plus sizes as well as Junior sizes and they always have shoes on sale for a very low price there are a lot of things mark down in the store all the time the staff they are they are really friendly and they are always ready to help this place stays a little bit busy but it's worth it their cologne and fragrances smell awesome the prices are really good here I shop here quite often
