Not a bad homeless shelter at all!
The jury is still out however due to the fact I am about to finish my 3rd day and have 27 more to go.
But for now, I'm pretty comfortable and definitely appreciative of the staff!

This place is a joke I dropped a man off at 5pm who stays there after he busted his butt working for me all day and the first thing that happened was the staff telling him he was in trouble for being on the property to early yet their store door is directly across from the shelter door so I guess that goes to show you that homeless people are not allowed to shop at the salvation army without being threatened to lose a warm bed.

the lady who works the front desk is terribly rude. when i walked in she was in the back having a conversation with someone. she looked like she had an attitude as soon as she seen me and treated me as such. i had called since they opened at 9 today and called several times yesterday. so i had no choice but to come in to ask a simple question. her excuse was she answers when she can. i'm assuming when she isnt wrapped in conversation with colleagues maybe she does her job?? what a joke.

Just learned recently that this Salvation Army is open again, in fact they say they've been open again for about 3 years! I had no idea and so many people I know and some I've spoken with there also didn't know ?♀️. So glad to be able to donate to them again instead of Goodwill. Also some very sweet ladies running it.

They lost a friend of mine that got dropped off their after being discharged from Kdmc hospital.( With a brain tumor) She 67 years old was supposed to be brought to my home by cab. But was dropped off by police at homeless shelter, then left by unknown means and found wondering around parking lot looking for her car that was at my home. The security guard at kdmc called me to tell me he found her and she wanted her car. I responded to him by saying shes ill. Ill be there in 10 minutes tell her I am coming. I pulled up out side where he said to turned off the and she was coming out before i could get out of car. After we went back to shelter to find her belongings and paperwork and meds she left at shelter he called again asking if I knew where she was?.. I am so unhappy with salvation army, kdmc, and ashland police dept. I wont ever take her back to that useless hospital. Its aloud to miss treat people because its the only hospital that most people in Ashland,Ky can go to. Due to insurance company and its the only hospital in area. Something needs done, I will no longer use the hospital, drs, or dr offices involved with them.
