TURISTS BEWARE.What a joke!! Paid $45 to ride the carriage with my daughter and we got taken about a mile and dropped off. Yeah you heard that right, not even a round trip. Picked up on 3rd street near Baskin Robins and dropped off out by Thompsons gas station... Like what??So now we either had to walk back or pay an additional $45 to get a ride back where we were picked up. If this isn't a tourist trap I don't know what is. They are banking on someone not knowing their way around so they can make double the money to get you back.Unless you have never seen a horse and carriage before, have someone else's money to burn or just want to stare at a horse taking a number 2 while you're watching avoid avoid avoid!!!!

Shocked at the price for what we got. Just dates if houses. Very disappointed.

We made reservations and paid in advance for a special occasion carriage ride. When we arrived we found that another couple walked in and decided to 'ride along' with us, hoping we didn't mind. I anticipated a private special occasion ride. The ride lasted 20 mins at most and as far as 'historical' he told about when certain houses were built not anything I would consider note worthy and was not worth the money we paid. We were disappointed.

The ride was 30 minutes and the cost was $100 for two people. A longer ride would have been nice. Historic sites were pointed out with very little discussion.

Charged us $150 for the four of us which was steep. He knew the year many of the buildings and homes were built, but very little history of the town was provided. It was difficult to hear him and the horse was constantly startled by the tractor trailers and heavy trucks roaring by, especially around the circle road around city hall. There were times it was clear the horse wanted to take off! Two stars is generous.

I thought it was a little pricey being $100 for 2 adults. We had our 6 year old grandson also. It was the last ride of the evening as it was closing time. For July 8th weather it turned out to be perfect. The rain had stopped several hours before and had made it cooler and just right. I now say after comparing price online at other places/towns they all cost about the same. I give it 5 stars. The old gentleman explained alot of history on the old houses and it was a beautiful ride. Lasted about 25 minutes but that is ok. We loved it.

Oh, boy.. where do I start? I scheduled a carriage tour of historic Bardstown for Mother’s Day weekend. Upon arrival, I let the man know I was here for my 2pm reservation. He just looked at me and pointed to the carriage and said “Get it”. No, “Hi, how are you? I’m ….” Zero greeting. The “tour” was this man pointing at buildings and mumbling the year the structure was built. He never once acted like there were actual paying customers on his carriage. It was all very awkward. 20 minutes later we pulled back into the parking lot where we began and parted ways. Keep in mind, this “experience” came at a premium price of $135 for 3 people for 20 minutes. This gentleman was completely void of any personality or resemblance of customer service. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT book with this company!!!

Called this morning and no answer, but man called me back. Even though website said it was open from 9-10 owner made arrangements for someone to come in at 4 and take us for a ride. That was nice!He told us it was gonna be $100 for 2 and another $25 for the 4 of us. I asked how long, he said 30 minutes!! We got there and worker (no personality at ALL)didn’t have much at all to say! It wasn’t a historic tour, it was a scam job!! After a 15 minute ride we are pulling back into the stables!!! Complete RIP OFF!! There is no way the guy that started this still owns it!He took pride in doing it!! You just can’t get quality help anymore!!

The horse was beautiful. The tour was about 20 minutes. Thought it was suppose to be 40 minutes. It wasn't a tour. Saw 2 historical buildings. We had 3 adults and 2 kids.Didn't really see to many lights.Went down on a sunday. It was cold. Thought they would have blankets on the carriage for customers. But didn't.

Avoid this at all cost… And the cost is substantial. $100 get me a 10 minute ride down the main streets of Bardstown with absolutely not one single word from our driver about where we were or what we were saying. I cannot even possibly explain what a rip off this is….

Jonsie is a hoot. We really enjoyed our tour of Bardstown and his horses are so well behaved. Don't hesitate to give it a try.

Rip off! Was charged $100 for 4 people. Maybe 25 minutes, couldn't hear the narration (which was not very informative) and it was basically pointing out houses that were marked with the year, we could have walked the 4 or so blocks and got the same tour. What a disappointment!
