The Talbott Inn, located in the heart of downtown Bardstown, offers a charming and historic atmosphere with easy access to attractions like the bourbon trail and local festivals. The venue features a restaurant known for delicious food, including specialties like Hot Brown and fried Banana Peppers and Tomatoes, with friendly and hardworking staff providing great service. The inn's upstairs showcases local history, adding to its unique character. Guests appreciate its prime location near shops, parks, and the bourbon trail, making it a convenient choice for exploring the area. Accommodations at the Talbott Inn include rooms with historic charm, though some guests find the rooms small and the bathrooms tiny, with squeaky floors typical of a 1700s tavern. While breakfast is often praised for being delicious and plentiful, some visitors mention noise issues from nearby traffic. Parking can also be challenging, and staying in the hotel requires planning well in advance as it is frequently fully booked. The inn also hosts enjoyable ghost tours that combine history with paranormal experiences, such as exploring rooms, corridors, and a cemetery. Some guests have even captured paranormal evidence, making the tours memorable and engaging. Overall, the Talbott Inn is appreciated for its location, friendly staff, and historical ambiance, making it a popular spot for visitors seeking a mix of history, hospitality, and local charm.
Worst bed ever, challenging shower. Very cool venue. Staff is outstanding - seriously the hardest working staff we've seen in a long time. Great location. Parking can be challenging. Restaurant is very good.

The Tavern has graciously stepped in as our Library is closed unexpectedly. They are allowing our chair yoga to use a space so we all went downstairs and ate lunch together. What a wonderful time. Delicious food and great service!
Food and drinks: The fried Banana Peppers and Tomatoes were absolutely delicious!
