“I cannot go into this store without finding something for myself or someone else. Wonderfully curated so nothing is average. It's amazing for gifts!!! Everything there is handmade, which I love. I've gotten clothing, planters, casserole & serving platters, artwork, stickers, journals, cards...so far. There's a small parking lot in back but I find it easier to park on the street, (there's been plenty of room anytime I've gone). It's a must visit for me when I visit Cincinatti. I wish all local shops were this cool & friendly.”
“Cutest store ever! It was hard to drag my 13 year old daughter out of the store. It smells wonderful (she pours her own candles) and there is jewelry, pottery, kitchen items, knick knacks, you need a little gift for someone, Mercantile on Main St has it!”
“I love this store because of the atmosphere and how welcoming it feels. I have been there many times just in the past year because they have so many different things you can look for. Every birthday that has come up, the first place I visit is Bizarre Bazaar because I know I can find something for everyone. My family loves to stop by every so often and I find myself leaving with something new every time because of how many things they have that I didn’t know I wanted. One day in particular, my mom and I were shopping for my younger cousins for Christmas and we found them both the most perfect presents and I also decided to get something for myself as well as I found many things I knew I would come back for for future presents.”
“I love this place; the owners are not only fantastic at crafting the best croissants but also very approachable and kind. The cozy environment at the shop invites to relax and enjoy the little pleasures in life.”

“saw a ton of cute local art here and even took a photo of a print i really liked and a reminder, but miraculously met the artist the next day and ended up buying from her. it was kismet.”
“Love this place!!! So excited to find a spot to purchase household items. With so much only available online finding retailers that carry items I want to see before purchasing is getting harder. I love to support locally owned businesses and this one is top on my list!”
“Best gift shop ever! The owner and sales team are super friendly and helpful and they always have the perfect gift idea. Bonus is that they wrap too! It’s my go to place for any gifting occasion!?”
“Their hand salve is the only thing on the market that truly moisturizes my hands. and the lavender one smells so good i even use it as perfume sometimes. i have super dry hands and it always has bothered me when my hands were dry, i always try to keep lotion on me for that reason, but one day i forgot and i was asking around for hand cream. my theatre teacher gave me the lavender hand salve and i loved it so much, asked her where she got it, she raved about this place, and the very next day she brought me my very own. it’s been years since then but it’s still my number one, even as i’ve moved away i still online order. i’m not exaggerating, I LOVE THIS STUFF and i tell anyone who will listen about it”

“Grainwell is the absolute best , they made custom Christmas ornaments. I used pictures of my girls and their aunts on the frosted acrylic, BEAUTIFUL and very INEXPENSIVE!!!! LOVE THE KIRN GIRLS, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!”
“I ran in while waiting for an appointment nearby, but I can't wait to go back and spend way more time picking things out! I grabbed a Tote Project bag that has been sold out online forever, and some felted soap that will be perfect in a family vacation gift bag! This place is it”
“This shop is alot of fun to go into. There are a variety of different and fun things to look at along with vintage items. Wendy does a beautiful job in refinishing furniture...and more. My husband and I took in an old potato bin. She painted it and decoupaged it...she did an amazing job and was so helpful in her suggestions. I highly recommend her shop and her skills and talents.”
“I visited Appointments in October 2025 during my first visit to Cincinnati. I’m newer to fountain pens, so while it was fun to ogle the beautiful variety of fine pens, I stuck closer to the pens especially good for beginners. The real delight of my visit was Joe, who was so cheerful and friendly - a real quiet presence. He asked about what pens I use but especially what I enjoy about them. He gave me space to comb through the inks, offering to let me test most anything. I left with some gorgeous sheening ink, a couple gorgeous Japanese inks, and my first Lamy. More than that, I left feeling the warmth that Joe radiates in abundance. I look forward to popping in again next time I’m in town. You do, too :)”
“From the moment I met with Kristin in her shop, I knew I was going to love working with her. I live out of town, and with that one meeting, Kristin seemed to understand my exact vision, even when I had no clue what I wanted! All of our save the dates, invitations, stationery, and signs for our wedding were perfect. Kristin really invested the time and resources into making sure it was exactly what we wanted! I can't even count the number of compliments we got on her work! I am so happy with our choice to book Kristin and, as a bonus, get to support a woman-owned small business!”

“Very fun little store and kind staff. Good rotation of new items. Only qualm is that I found AI generated stickers being sold, which I feel the store should be a bit more responsible in vetting the items they sell since letting things like this slip by will hurt the artists they rely on to keep their store running.”
“Beautiful work and very friendly service! I ordered a mug for my wife and they were incredibly responsive and personable. The mug is lovely and feels very durable, it is one of my wife’s favorite things!”
“The owner of this establishment is named Titus. He is From a country in East Africa called Kenya. And he comes from a long line of woodcarvers and his family. The tradition was passed down to him from his father, and he is in the process of passing the tradition down to his daughter.
Each carving within the store is culturally significant, and has a meaning to it. Some carvings present the meaning of life, the importance of family, the importance of a strong community, love, fertility, resilience and more.
Titus is also quite educated in the different cultures in Africa.
Have you recently taken an ancestry DNA test? Have you found out that your ancestor comes from the Fulani tribe? Or the Yoruba tribe? Are you looking to learn more about the traditions and cultures of those in many other African cultures in groups. Titus is the perfect person for that!
If you are looking for some amazing African outfits that are literally made in Africa then this is your store! If you are in need of some pure/raw shea or cocoa butter, this is where you need to be. You need to check it out.”
“There are only 4 or 5 restaurants I'll give 5 stars to but Au Bar Le Boeuf is definitely one of them. It had been awhile since I was last there but it's just as good as ever. I had the Pot au Feu which came with tender and juicy braised beef, carrots and potatoes in a rich gravy. My friends remarked they had never seen me actually clean my plate, but it was too good not to! the lobster bisque was creamy and delicious as was the signature French onion soup with a perfect blend of cheese and rich onion soup. We also enjoyed the beef tartare. Service was impeccable. Dining here is a treat.”
“Great museum!I wasn't sure how much my children would be interested in the history museum but they do a great job of making it kid friendly with lots of visual and interactive displays that allow them to experience the city during different time periods. Upon entering they have a railroad scale model of the city during the turn of the century. There are moving trains and street cars, plus the lights change to show the city during different time of the day. They also had one that showed Coney Island with the rides kite up and moving, the zoo, and the incline railway that used to be part of the city. It was like you were able to walk around Cincinnati and experience all the neighborhoods. The museum had an area that discussed travel around the city with antique cars on display. There is also a street car you can go inside of. As you go into the lower levels there is a large replica steam wheel boat that you can board and explore. Along with a replica city during that time period with a printing press, dress making shop, etc. They also have a section showing items that were made in Cincinnati. Overall it was a great museum for people of all ages to experience the history of Cincinnati.”
“All the things you never knew you needed! Lovely warm ponchos, gloves and faux fur coats! Things you can't find other places like film strips from actual movies before everything went digital. Lots of sparkly things too. Something is sure to catch your eye.”
