This is a wonderful boutique winery that produces some amazing wines! My wife and I visited for a private tour and wine tasting on our anniversary. The owners, John and Karen, are a delightful couple who welcomed us with open arms and showered us with hospitality. We'll worth a visit if you are in the area. This also have started a wine club that features discounts, locally events, and more. We just attended our first club event today and it was a relaxing time. We drove 3 hours to attend amd were not disappointed... although admittedly, it was a great excuse for us to linger in the area for a protracted weekend getaway.

The experience at Poca Terra was absolutely amazing. The perfect small town winery vibes but big town taste! We could have 100% walked out with a bottle of every single wine we tasted today, if not multiples. We will most definitely be back with friends and family as they come to visit us. Or just on our own for date days. Karen and John were wonderful to talk to as we did our tasting and we couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Karen was a phenomenal host. We had a private tasting. And even though the weather this summer has been awful, the set up in the patio was very comfortable. We specially chose Poca Terra because we are not sweet wine drinks and that is oftentime the small winery experience in KY. But Poca Terra, while they have some sweet wines, they also have exceptionally delicious dry red, rose, and white wines. The Chambourcin was one of the best wines we have had at a small farm winery in Kentucky (if not the best). Karen was on her own that day (her husband was out of town) and she managed our tasting and other guests in the yard so well. She shared the history of their vineyard and showed us the antique equipment that started their journey. We had a picnic as well (definitely recommend getting a picnic package)!
The experience was also special as I had decided that I was going to propose to my partner at Poca Terra. While we picnicked I proposed, she said yes, and we enjoyed the spread and a bottle of wine. We grabbed some photos out by the vineyard. Karen overheard our news and then offered us a Message in a Bottle (something they sell). We wrote each other a message to open on our first anniversary and then Karen corked the bottle.
We will absolutely be revisiting Poca Terra.

What a gem. Nestled in a cozy countryside setting, Karen & John were the perfect hosts for a wine tasting. We were warmly welcomed into their tasting area, their charming converted parking.
It was a lovely spring day with a slight breeze. Great company & adored hearing their history while learning about the background of how Pocca Terra came into existence.
Will definitely add this wine & venue on my list of favorites. Worth a trip for sure. Pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

I have been on the Ky wine trail for some time now. Have visited a little over half of them all around the state. Poca Terra has some of the best wines that I've tasted ! I am a dry wine drinker and Love the Chambourcin Estate wine.

We showed up tonight for their music event and stood in line about a bottle wine and sat down in the rain came along, which we are not upset about cause the rain is what it is but what we are not happy about is you charge is five dollars for a corkage fee to take that bottle from your table down to the table we had in your yard. I don't understand why you would charge us extra five dollars to take the cork out of the bottle for us. Are we supposed to carry a wine cork so we don't have to pay for that??? unless it's required by law which I don't believe it is a little ridiculous

What a lovely experience! I really enjoyed their hospitality and the wines are delicious! We will be ordering wine from here in the future. I was intrigued by the wine making process as well as the family they shared.

This is the second visit for us. We live in Colorado and visit our daugther and her family in Paducah. Our initial visit was when we tasted their first vintage. We were pleasantly surprised as how good this new winery was. Finally able to visit again in May, 2023. Again the owners, John and Karen were delightful and sat with us during our tasting by reservation. We are only dry wine drinkers, so only tasted dry.The Chambourcin Reserve, 2019 was superior. It is full bodied, but has a beautiful, smooth finish. Our other favorite wines were both Roses, 2021. The oaked Rose is very special, and not often found as we travel around to other wineries. But for those not fond of oak, the unoaked Rose is excellent. If you are traveling near here, we highly recommend that you make a visit.

My husband and I did a date night at Pocca Terra and it was so much fun! We learned so much about the wine making process and how the family started their winery. We loved all the wines and can't wait to go back to one of their summer events!
