“We were traveling on I-24 when we struck a 6x6 about 12" long and it made a horrible bang under our car. We pulled off the Cadiz exit and to the Marathon gas station as the underside of the car was making chattering and scraping sounds. I looked under the car and the under engine cover was torn loose and dragging. I asked the Marathon clerk who could help and she recommended Hometown Auto. I called and they said bring it in and we'll take a look. We drove there, pulled in and they immediately jacked up the car and saw the same problem as me. We went in to wait while they removed the damaged cover. They checked for any other damage and any fluids leaking. All good. They saved me all the fasteners and showed us where the 6x6 had punched a hole through the cover and tore it loose. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes and they only charged us $20.
