Spent a couple nights very please. The room was very clean and beds very comfortable. If your looking for that knotty pine beautiful decor log cabin feel, it has it all. A plus was the continental breakfast and pleasant conversations with Terry.

We were told that our dates were going to be blocked off, so we could come do a tour of the facility! We drove 1 1/2 hours from Lexington to Cliff View to see the main lodge for our event, after meeting Kathy at the retreat cabin we were told that the dates she swore were blocked
Off for the weekend of the 18th 2025! She proceeded to make us aware that now those dates were no longer available, and they were rented to a corporation! We never received a call from her about the lodge being sold out from under us, we spoke to her an hour before we arrived and still never mentioned this to us until we arrived at the retreat cabin! When we asked her about why those dates were given away to another party, she tried to blame my fiancé of negligence instead of her own! While the resort is beautiful and set in the mountains, communications is not Kathy’s strong suit! If you have elderly guest going to the lodge, there are winding roads and people drive in the middle of the road on the resort, something to think about before booking this venue for your wedding or event…

We held our bi-annual family reunion at Cliffview Lodge and the Wilderness Luxury Cabin. There were 56 of us and everyone had an absolutely fabulous time. The staff was very accommodating and responded to our requests quickly and very professionally. Kelley and Pam were a joy to work with. The rooms were great and the surroundings wonderful. Both properties provided a great mix of areas for the group to gather as well as places for more private reflection. I would recommend Cliffview Lodge and the Wilderness to anyone, it is a wonderful place for a family reunion.

My husband and I got married at Cliffview Resort, and I cannot say enough good things about our experience. The wedding planning was so easy as we utilized most of Cliffview's vendors for the wedding. The DJ, caterer, and wedding coordinator were all fantastic and worked together seamlessly. We used our own photographer and Cliffview was super accommodating, meeting with her to show her around the site the day before the wedding. I also had the wedding coordinator just decorate the ceremony and reception space for me instead of bringing my own decorations, which I highly recommend! The space was beautiful and I didn't have to stress about decorating or buy a bunch of decorations that I would never use again. The Cliffview staff also went above and beyond with random requests - such as getting a stand mixer so my sister could make the wedding cake, and fixing my husband's suit pants when he accidently ripped them the morning of the ceremony. We all stayed in the lodge for the weekend. The lodging was comfortable, clean, and most of all - just absolutely beautiful. I went ziplining with my girlfriends the day before the ceremony and that was also super fun. I have said to my husband multiple times that I can't believe how perfect the wedding weekend was. If you want a low-stress wedding in a beautiful location, Cliffview Resort is the place.

Such a great experience! Loved the views and the snow made it even more beautiful! Great and friendly staff even helped us get onto the main highway when the snow kept piling on the morning of our departure. Will definitely return! Such a cute and quaint lodge! :)

Had our wedding reception here a year ago and everything was great! Meredith and Pam are amazing hosts. Guests loved the area and had nothing but nice things to say about the staff and accommodations as well!

This place is just a slice of heaven. I love everything about this place from breakfast with a ton of options, million dollar views from the porches, super soft bath towels, but especially Meredith. She makes you feel right at home and answers all your questions and gives great recommendations. We are beyond excited to have our wedding here after 2 fantastic trips.

We considered Cliffview Lodge for our wedding weekend. While we opted for a location in our home state, the choice was very difficult. The location, lodging options, and of course the views make this a great choice for a wedding at anytime of year. The cost is very reasonable especially with all you get! Also, the responsiveness to email communication from site manager, Meredith, was quick and helpful.

15 of us were on a writing retreat with a guest speaker. Beautiful and spacious, however, we found the space to have some limitations we will consider in the future. The hot tubs should be called lukewarm tubs because they were tepid at best. The futons in the rooms were uncomfortable and small. And some places were dirty (in the window by the back deck we found dozens of flies.) No way someone cleaned and missed that. There is no water source outside of sinks. Huge beautiful refrigerators without water source. I’d caution folks to being their own jugs of drinking water for their stay. Great having a washer and dryer downstairs. The staff is nice but there were some things they could do to better prepare folks. Their phone number on one of their printed directions papers is incorrect. They provided us with a key code that did not work. All of the rooms lock when they are closed so you will need a key code even to get into your individual room. The oven takes a long time to heat up. Be sure to allow for extra prep time just to get the stove hot. There was a lot of emphasis on staying quiet or police would be called in the literature, and we learned why. If you sit in the hot tubs or fire pit in groups in the evening, voices carry across the puddle (no way this is a lake) and can seem deafening. We kept quiet but something to tell your guests ahead of time. Overall, we would return but will keep in mind the limitations of the "hot" tubs and the fact that the futons are uncomfortable. We will likely bring inflatable beds for those who can't do the futons.Internet connection was great. Plenty of glasses, coffee cups, plates, silverware etc. Nothing plastic so those traveling with kids should bring their own. Pots and pans were fine but I’m glad I brought my own cast iron skillet and metal spatula.

This was my first visit and I loved this place so much! We stayed in the lodge (they also offer cabins). I loved the cozy decor of the lobby and guestroom. You feel like you're in a mountain cabin. The place is relatively small so you feel like you have individualized service. The employees were so nice. The moment we checked in Terri gave us a tour, showing us the communal kitchen that all guests can use (to cook, put your own food in the fridge, get ice, etc). The lodge has a giant wraparound porch with swings. The location is a bit off the beaten path so you will find plenty of solitude. I highly recommend the Cliffview!

This was our 8th day at Cliffview Resorts. Our reservation was for The Lakeside. After all of our guests arrived, unpacked and had dinner going on the stove, we were informed that we needed to move to the Retreat due to issues from the water. Very unhappy, but we were reimbursed for one of our 3 nights. After moving to The Retreat we found it to be in just fair condition. Several TVs not working, both hot tubs not working properly and pretty dirty in many places. There were several other minor things that we just overlooked. We had several people in our group with medical conditions that made it difficult to make the trek to the fire pit. (main reason we choose The Lakeside every year). Everyone in group-20 of us agreed things were not as nice as in years past. This all being said, we love the area and spending time with friends each year. They seriously need to do a deep clean several times a year to these cabins (and move furniture to vacuum).
