If I could give 0 stars I would.
The carriers refuse to deliver anything that won't fit in the mailbox or that needs signed for. UPS and Fedex have no problems so it makes no sense that the USPS won't deliver.

I normally never leave reviews for anything but USPS in Caneyville is quick & super pleasant to deal with. We had a package that was placed in the wrong mailbox, which was not a big deal, and their staff was quick to get the issue resolved.
I appreciate the employees here and cannot express how swiftly they got this matter taken care of without me lifting a finger really.

Our packages are always delivered late or if they don't fit in the large box, they mark them undeliverable. We then have to drive to the post office to pick them up. By the time we get off from work, the post office is closed. So if a package is marked on a Monday, we cannot get there in time to retrieve it until a Saturday. Why is there even a post office in this city when it is so inefficient!?!

Mail delivery is usually good. Here lately I've received packages that are wet or have been crammed into the mailbox, instead of delivering to the house. I understand the postal service isn't as efficient as it use to be and there's not enough carriers.

The clerks at our Caneyville post office are always so helpful. Whenever I go there they take the time to help me figure out the best way to send my parcels. I love our small town post office!

Too few business hours. The USPS cut back the hours of service in order to keep this branch open after a re-organization which resulted in the complete closing of many small town post offices. Call ahead or check the business hours online before coming to this post office. Friendly and helpful employees make a visit to this post office worth the trip.
