I have written 5 books on customer service and I am Yelp Elite. Those who have read my books or my post know that I will generally lean to the positive and give companies the benefit of doubt. This post will be an exception. I am a regular Kroger shopper and today I was picking up a couple of items to make cole slaw. (See Picture). On my was out the wheels locked up on my cart and a siren went off. I thought my cart was defective and did not think the siren was meant for me. Here I am forcing the cart to move and it's making all kinds of noise. A Kroger lady who is just doing her job, starts yelling at me to stop. It was quite a scene and everyone stopped and was looking at me. I wait for Kroger lady to get to me and she tells me this is Kroger's new anti theft system. She scanned my bag of cole slaw and Marzetti dressing, hit a button on her device and the wheels on my cart were released. I had to ask the lady why the system thought I was stealing cole slaw as I handed her the receipt. She tells me this system messes up a lot? I then asked her if she would make an announcement to all those standing around that I am not a thief! She looked at me like a deer looking into headlights. One of my chapters in book 3 states "Don't do Dumb Things" Putting in a system that does not work well that accuses your loyal customers of stealing...Is a Dumb Thing" It is hard to recover well when you or a company do dumb things.

As I approached the lottery machine to get a couple tickets out of it, The lady that was on the clock that works behind the service desk I was standing next to it scratching tickets so I went to go put my money in, and she told me I’ve got money and there still being used. So as I’m waiting for her to get done scratching her ticket to use the rest of her money so I could use the machine, She continues to get one ticket out of time and Gratiot leaving money in the machine to where I cannot use it. Now I could be wrong but back when I worked at Kroger employees on the clock was not allowed to play lottery, or especially hog the lottery machine where customers cannot use it. Very rude and disrespectful I think I will take my business to Meijer instead.

not this Kroger ...... I shop at Kroger almost daily . the guy argued with me that the buy 5 save $5 items I picked up were digital only and I know for a fact that they weren't my mother picked up the same items two days ago and it took the money off. I'll be shopping at either Florence (My Zion or erlanger) even though I live in Cold Springs

Check your receipts!! The check out guy did not scan our card even though it was handed to him. Then we spent 15 minutes at the service desk and not once did the girl say our card did not get scanned...then I had to drive back to the store to point out the bottom of the receipt showed we would have saved $41 if we had used our rewards card...I have had numerous incidents at this store with coupons not scanning right, things priced wrong etc....

Pharmacy is less than stellar. Long lines and poor poor customer service.

I am a Kroger shopper 100% but this is honestly one of the worst Kroger's I have ever been to and unfortunately it is the one closest to my house. Their produce often sucks and they do not have the olive bar or many selections of cheeses in the deli and the store is completely outdated. Other than that it is just pretty small and the pharmacy is always backed up. Might even be worth driving further to the Kroger in Newport to avoid this one.

Have tried the click list a few times and every time I end of with food that’s close to the expiration date and fruits and have rotted prices in the bag. They never check anything apparently. Just throw it in the cart. The Kroger in Newport is much better so I’ll be doing click list there from now on.

The Kroger pick up here is horrible. They gave me yogurt that was expired over a month and a bag of Gala Apples they had at least three rotten apples, one so rotten that is was mush and split in half. They also don't bring out everything in a bag. Some of it is just laying in the tubs. I won't go here again. I normally use Walmart grocery pickup which is excellent and they don't charge you.

I can't say enough about this Kroger. I started a new job last week, training every day and forgot to put in my son's cake order for his second birthday party on Saturday. I called around everywhere and was told everyone was to full to add on another order. So defeated I finally called Cold Springs on Saturday and they had a shark kit I could buy. I show up and she makes me an entire cake right there in no time and it looked amazing on top of that. She has no idea what that meant to me and how sweet and amazing she was. My son loved his cake too.

The pharmacy is ridiculous. My sons medication was called in this morning and apparently 7 hours isn't long enough because it's still not ready. When a doctor prescribes you medication it's because you NEED it. Why would Kroger not fill it?? I've already stopped shopping here because the store is dirty and crowded and the managers are terrible but I will be moving to another pharmacy now as well.

While it might be a perfectly fine option for the immediate area, this Kroger location is nothing special. Smaller than others I've visited, it has the basics, but not the expanded inventory that you'd find in Newport, Union, or some of the other monster-sized locations.

And the nasty produce struck again. Three containers of strawberries and one of grape tomatoes all rotten that were bought today. I'd love to watch the managers responsible for setting these out eat every last one. Good enough for the consumer, good enough for them!

I loathe that this Kroger is the closest to me. It's terrible. It NEVER has any fresh organic produce. The organic section is the smallest I have ever seen, and when they actually do have organic produce you pay $5 for blueberries. It's insanity. They also have a refrigerator for the brand fresh pet in the animal food section...they last two times I have gone the entire refrigerator is empty of fresh pet products. And this was three months apart.

We've never bought any groceries from here but they have a Starbucks which is great. Very conveniently located in the same complex as Kohl's, Home Depot etc and just 2-3 mins off 27. There are a couple of restaurants in the same complex as well.
