If you are looking for a place to unwind and enjoy nature . Then the DuPont lodge will not disappoint. Spend your day walking any of the 12 hiking trails. I recommend trails 4 & 6. While your there check out Cumberland and Eagle falls. It is also a great place to take your dog all of the trails except one allow pets. The lodge is also pet friendly. The sunset rise and Sunsets are incredible. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this trip. We had no cell service but the WiFi worked very well.Rooms: The rooms are a little outdated.Nearby activities: Trail and more trails. Corbin is not far. They have restaurants and a movie theater. Also close by is corneal Sanders first restaurants.

The cabin we stayed is was ok. The bed was hard, the window over the bed had a huge draft. And the cable and Internet did not work. I would say it was quite but they were out blowing leaves at 9am.Food & drinks: The restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday except for breakfast. So if you want to eat plan on a 30 minute drive to find some food.

Nice, homey feel....I was in one of the Woodland cabins, which are nice for a State Park.

Beautiful old historic feeling building nestled at the top of the cliffs above the Cumberland Falls area. Visiting here is an amazing experience. Be prepared, cell service is rare - but the lodge does have Wifi. They were in the middle of upgrading the internet to new provider. The food at the buffet is delicious and wholesome - I could justify a visit just for the fish alone.

The bathroom had mold on the ceiling. All the corners on the floor were very dirty. We stayed at Woodlands. We thought we were going to stay in the lodge. We reserved 2 nights but only stayed one.Rooms: Dirty and moldy

Overall this was a nice place to stay. However, do not expect anything super nice. The bathroom was very small, which wasn't a big deal-except there really wasn't anywhere for us to hang our towels. The faucet leaked when turned on all the way. The shower would randomly get EXTREMELY hot, and the drain was super small so the tub kept getting backed up while you were standing in it.Breakfast was included with the stay, but it wasn't nothing to brag about. There wasn't any real food to be had, other than a few pieces of fruit. Husband & son had waffles, I took a bite... They were like eating balloons. The eggs I had didn't taste good and had a very weird texture. But! Even with the bad breakfast and the bathroom problems, we enjoyed our stay. We needed a place to shower after camping for a few days and we were able to walk in here and get a room right away. The girls at the front desk were awesome to talk to, very very kind people! The building is really pretty, and it's situated in an interesting spot. For a nights stay we were happy. If you just need somewhere to stay I do recommend staying here, just don't expect anything fancy!

Overall a good experience. Rooms were clean and we slept great. The upkeep on the facilities is lacking. Concierge service was pleasant. Wonderful location with quick access to Cumberland Falls especially in the middle of the night to go see the moonbow. The continental breakfast was a bust as the food was not adequately stocked for guests (lines back up to get food from single points of serving). The food either ran out prematurely or the cook decided to stop cooking well before the posted dining room closure time. Worst, the dining room staff was irritated when asked to replenish cups for coffee that was otherwise ready to serve. This is a good option to get a nights rest when looking at one of the rarest sights to see in the world, but not all the staff seem to care about supporting that experience.

The room was clean and furnished nicely, towels were soft and fluffy. The door to the room was hard to open, so I had to give it a good shove. Would definitely go back.

Lodge rooms are bare bones and dated. No microwave, no fridge, thin walls, loud doors. Furnature is dated & scuffed. However, the building, surroundings and outdoor spaces are beautiful. Limited restaurant menus but good food, prices & service. Nice, free breakfast buffet.

Older but great place to spend couple of nights. The Falls are REAL CLOSEBY (like 4-5 miles) and SPECTACULAR! The view at night from out back of the river is fantastic also! After lunch say, because sun sets behind and lights up the river view below! See
