My boyfriend and I were excited to see beautiful vintage and estate jewelry today. We drove from KY, paid for parking only to be turned away because we weren’t wearing masks. The women inside called out to us from across the store referring us to posted mask sign on the door. I asked if they provided masks we could wear since they are required for us to enter. They said “NO” and blamed their boss for mandating the masks. I expressed that seemed like a poor business practice and they continued to refer me to their boss.We went and purchased ill fitting masks from a CBD store around the corner and returned only to be let down by their selection.

Wouldn’t let me in without a mask which is fine but I don’t carry one with me and they didn’t have any to offer. Went over to another store in Newport and gave them my business.

I work in the finance industry and own a couple of businesses. I was downtown this afternoon for a business meeting and thought I would stop in to buy a necklace being it is Valentine's Day. As soon as I walked into the establishment I was greeted with "where is your mask". This is the first time I have been asked to wear a mask in months. They then told me that I had to leave if I did not have my own mask. The customer service is terrible and I am confused at how they are in business unless for some reason they don't want people in their establishment at all.

I just walked in and was told I had to have a mask. I understand the concern but when asked if they had one since it was their policy they said ".... no.... we've already given out 30..." I had every intention on spending a substantial amount of money for a wedding anniversary gift. Looking at the reviews I see this is a common theme. Buyer beware, you need a mask or these ladies will turn you away quickly.

Sadly one star seems too much for this place…Customer Service is horrible. I just moved to area and wanted to use local business vs franchise or chain. Motch is obviously not interested in obtaining new customers and I am definitely not interested in using them for my jewelry needs. Hope their is another Jeweler in town.

I went in to make a purchase and thought I would support a local business considering I’m also a business owner in the same city, and the older woman that was working was on the phone and looked at me and said you need a mask and before I could reply she very rudely said we can’t serve you without one and I replied do you have one she once again rudely said no, so I found one in my purse and found out they didn’t have what I was looking for, but I was ok because I won’t spend a dime in this business, I called her when I returned to my business and ask her why she found it necessary to be so rude and if you require a mask then you should supply them for the client her response was we have already given out 30 you could go next door and get one and said she wasn’t rude at all… YES YOU WERE!!!

Rude employees. Told to wear a mask (which is fine), but neither employee was wearing their mask, and they did not have spare masks. If you're going to require masks you need to have some around.

I had just made a quick run by before going into work this afternoon to possibly look into them fixing an antique rosary I had that had broken... Yes there was a sign on the door about mask but considering I had just parked four blocks away and paid for a meter I asked the older ladies if they had a mask and I'm here to tell you the blatant disrespect in their tones and their behaviors was enough for me never to give them my business I walked away knowing that my God is greater than their attitudes I feel sorry for anybody who has to have contact with these older women and they're in my prayers God bless everyone

I was at the store at 4:40 and the door wasn’t opened. I thought they kept the door locked for security reasons, so I peeked in. A lady answered the door and said they were closed. I pointed out that their sign said closed at 5:00. She said they put the inventory away and it takes time. At that pointed I suggested they change their sign. She said, “Oh no we couldn’t do that.” I know you’ve been in business along time but sadly I won’t be back.

Bad service. Turned away a half hour before close because they started to put the jewelry away. Got a babysitter and rushed there only to get turned away BEFORE the store is advertised to close. Its extremely frustrating. Taking our business elsewhere, Will not be back.

The folks here are always very helpful and knowledgeable. Every visit has been not only enjoyable but my mission was accomplished easily! Love the atmosphere of this historic building.
