I can’t believe what just happened with my prescriptions. I drove to this Walgreens and was told that all of my prescriptions were covered by my insurance, but that they didn’t have one of them in stock. They said the missing prescription was available at the Buttermilk location.
So I drove to Buttermilk, asked for all of my prescriptions, and was told it would take 30 minutes. I returned almost an hour later, only to be told that the employee who helped me had walked out and never entered my information into the system, so my prescriptions hadn’t even been started.
On top of that, they then told me that my insurance doesn’t actually cover that prescription literally the only reason I was sent to Buttermilk in the first place.
I called the original Covington Walgreens to explain the situation. The person I spoke with confirmed that the medication is not covered. When I pointed out that the first employee had sent me to Buttermilk and wasted my time and gas, she kept insisting, “no one lied to me,” even though she had heard what the previous employee told me.
This whole process has caused me wasted time, wasted gas, and unnecessary stress, and I wasn’t even able to contact my doctor to get a prior authorization because of the delay. I’m extremely frustrated and feel that people should be held accountable for this miscommunication and while I’m here, I’ll also add that absolutely no one answered the phone this morning at this location for over 20mins straight.

The pharmacy is almost always closed. How are people supposed to get their medicine? Even when it says they should be open, they aren’t. I’ve had my medications set up to be ready, got the text it was ready, showed up to get it, and they had no idea where my medication was. I was once told it was being shipped from another location.. what. Don’t use this pharmacy. You won’t be able to get your meds.

The people are very nice however the hours they have online are different from the actual store which makes things hard I had a prescription sent there at 7:40 Friday night because online it said they were opened till 9 when I got there at 8:10 they were already closed I was upset I have the flu and was trying not to have to leave the next day had I known they were closed I would have sent it somewhere else. The next day I called to make sure they were open and I mentioned what happened the lady said oh we close at 7 through the week 6 on Saturdays. I said well you guys should get that changed online she didn’t seem to care to much. I hope they get it fixed!

If you have the ability to go to another pharmacy in the area, i would say to go elsewhere. In the last 6 months, I've had over a dozen prescriptions called in and they will sit there for days until I call and talk to an actual person and ask them to fill it. I don't think I've had a single one of those medications filled UNLESS I call and ask. And, in every one of those cases, they will *magically* have it ready in an hour or two. I usually understand when a place is understaffed, but medications are no joke.

Wish they would take all patients before the 1:30pm closing time and not shut down for lunch early. Yes I got there at 1:27pm but that’s before 1:30. To be clear they did take the lady standing in front of me, so she was fine to arrive at 1:27.

Awful people and customer service is bad. We wanted to get our medications all at this Walgreens on Madison Ave. It would have been walking distance for us. They yelled at us for checking on our prescriptions. I would call to check on my husband's and he would check mine and they yelled at both of us for checking to see if our prescriptions were ready. John was terrible I was supposed to pick up my pills and I was told that they were ready but he would not give them to me without a pre authorization my doctor called them in and one time out of 6 months I had to pay out of pocket I told John this and he said I couldn't have them.these people are unprofessional and terrible. So do yourself a favor do not get your medications there. We just would call and get yelled at. They also would never have our pills in stock. Even though I called two days before and they said that they were ready. We get there and they said they didn't have them. This is terrible. We had to move our prescriptions out of this place. I can't believe that this place has not been put out of business for the way we were treated. I know that there are other people that have gone through the same thing with these people. Unprofessional awful. We didn't deserve this treatment.

My rating is based on my experience and interactions with the workers in this store. I came here looking for hair oil to help with my summer hair- dry and frizzy hair (some women might relate). Anyway, I was overwhelmed because there's a lot of choices, but one of the sales associates was very helpful explaining the differences of the products. Regardless, I ended up buying a product I'm familiar with- Argan oil by Hask. The checking out was very fast and efficient, the cashier was even kind enough to keep my bag while I asked to use their restroom. I am very disappointed with the outside of the store- it's full of trash and cigarette butts, I even noticed 2 people that appeared to be homeless outside the store (they have bags and other stuff next to them, they seemed to be getting comfortable sitting under the awning). This is one of the newer Walgreens in the area, from the outside it starts to show how it's accommodating itself to the city, but the inside seemed to be well organized, clean and well stocked. This also helps that Kroger partnered with Walgreens calling the program Kroger Express.
