After researching several in-home euthanasia providers, I chose Dr. Bennett, and I am incredibly grateful that I did. She was prompt, calm, compassionate, and professional throughout the entire process. She allowed my daughter to hold Jiji as she put him to sleep, and he spent his final moments enjoying treats and being surrounded by family. His passing was peaceful, dignified, and free from fear. In fact, all of my cats approached Dr. Bennett with curiosity and trust, as though they instinctively knew they were in caring hands.
Dr. Bennett also helped us preserve precious memories by collecting fur keepsakes, assisting with paw prints, and giving us all the time we needed to grieve and say goodbye. We never felt rushed.
My only disappointment was with the engraved nameplate we purchased for Jiji's urn. We paid an additional fee for it, but it arrived detached from the urn box and needed to be attached ourselves. For the price, I expected it to arrive already affixed. However, I do not believe this was Dr. Bennett's fault, nor did she pressure us into purchasing it. My daughter requested it while grieving, and my dissatisfaction is with the product itself, not the care we received.
Losing Jiji was heartbreaking, but Dr. Bennett helped make one of the hardest days of our lives as peaceful as it could possibly be. For that, my family and I will always be grateful.”
