ER - waiting 5 hours- they won't give you an estimate of time - looks like there aren't any doctors actually here!

I have been seeing doctor in their cancer center for over a year now, though at the beginning, the nurse made some mistake on the appointment scheduling, end up i need to make several call to clarify everything. Everything else, to me, the center is neat, clean, nurse are all very helpful and friendly. I do my quarterly blood work as well as chest CT scan here, and result come out very fast, and my doctor has been changed as the old doctor retired after two appointments. But i like the new doctor anyway. She is more flexible in terms of treatment and more willing to take risk and accommodate patient needs. The whole center is super nice!

I am autistic, so I dont always comprehend what someone says right away or it takes me a minute to process anything said to me. My first response is can you explain that to me differently. When you have several people explain something the exact same way but do not say anything different I am going to be upset. Its like talking to a recorder. (Never spoke with the doctor only the nurses in which being assertive about my medical care apparently is being verbally abusive. If anything I cried the whole time because no one was actually listening to my concerns) I felt the doctor was not respecting my time nor did the doctor actually listen to anything I said and misdiagnosed something that was not even an issue to begin with. Malpractice at its finest.

I had an appointment at St. Elizabeth Edgewood yesterday for some testing & was very pleased with the care & professionalism of the staff I dealt with, all of whom were welcoming, helpful, thoughtful & informative. My appointment was in building 3A & I hope all of their staff works with the same level of care & dedication.HOWEVER, I arrived in the darkness of 6 AM or so, well over an hour before my appointment, which you'd think would be plenty of time to find the building I was looking for.It was not. Did I find building 1A? Yes. Eventually. 2A? Yes, that one too, which was next to it, albeit not very clearly labeled. 3A? You'd think that would be next to it, but it was not. I had gotten out of my car thinking it would be, & wound up being misdirected multiple times, walking up & down hills, through parking garages, etc. By the time I found a staff member who could give me accurate directions, I was a sweaty mess & probably scared many people with random streams of obscenities over how difficult finding the right building was.It would be so helpful if they could do something more with directional signage. Even something as simple as arrows on the various corners within the parking areas pointing to your various buildings would be so much more helpful than the current state of things, which is basically a guessing game, especially for first time visitors arriving in the dark.

Please take caution before selecting this campus for any of your medical needs. The Labor & Delivery, Postpartum and NICU units are under staffed and the employees are not friendly and uneducated. I have never seen a more unhappy group of nurses in one place. My questions went unanswered, my cries went unheard and there was no empathy to be found. The lack of common respect and kindness is alarming. The misinformation and out right disregard of communication should be considered malpractice.
