Wow, this place is amazing. The owner was super friendly and did not yank my chain when it came to my Jeep. You just don't get customer service like this anymore.

one of the most upstanding companies that I've dealt with in years. Joe, Al, Amber, all of them are great people. They not only took great care of my old Honda, they also stood behind their work. I'll recommend them to everyone I know for transmission work. Robin D. Fortune.

We were very happy with the job Mr Transmission did for us. My husband was having trouble with his truck going into gear. He took to them. Fearing it was going to be something serious and cost a fortune. But they called and said they fixed it for under 200. He was thrilled.

I dropped my suv off and was told it would be a week to repair transmission and ready for pick up and was given a quote for max possible cost. 6 days go by without any phone call, after being told he would call two days after drop off to let us know what diagnostics showed. Called on day 6 and was informed they hadn’t touched it yet and it would be a total of 16 days instead of one week because they put other vehicles before ours, then proceeded to up the price by another 1k. I asked if he could please get to it sooner since he told us it would be ready in a week and it was there mistake of over looking ours. He was unwilling to do any sooner or change his price that he originally gave. He then proceeded to tell me once I asked if it could be done sooner and why his price changed, he told me to come get it, he wouldn’t be providing service anymore. We wasted money on a rental car for a week just to be left with an unfixed vehicle. This was handled unprofessionally and disrespectful and with poor management. He was very short fuzed and i have never had a place of business behave like this, he even angrily hung up on me when I asked why the price change and then called back and apologized for that. I don’t know if he was just having a bad day or if this is a common thing with how Joey handles business, but family recommended I leave him a review to warn other families in case they waste there time and money as well. It was very unfortunate how this was handled. If you rely on having a vehicle back quickly and a promised price like I do, you may want to be cautious proceeding with them. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt though so maybe this is a one off thing.

A long very happy post. We have been feeling car j*** when accelerating. Planning a trip back to Tx between assignments , I was very concerned. I have a very hard time with projecting the worse case scenario. What if car breaks down on way ? What if we get to Tx and then it breaks down ? How will I get back to Kentucky for second assignment? Would we rent a car ? How many miles would be be allowed to take it ? How much would it cost a day ? How would I ever save enough to get car fixed if paying for a rental ? I’ve been doing a lot of praying , I know the spirit of fear is NOT from God. I prayed that he would put someone in our path to help us , with ? faith that He would.Last week I called a place an hour from us ( Justin was thinking it was transmission so we had to find a transmission specialist. ). Then the thought .. How will be get back to hotel ? How will I get to work? The guy there told me that their reviews were so great that they were always full and I would be without a car for a week.I called Justin from work. I told him the situation and asked him what we should do. I am a firm believer that the man is made to be the provider and protecter , and that he has the final say in decisions. He called a place 10 miles from us. They said to bring it in first thing today. We were the only ones in there. The shop looked very humble. The chip machine was empty and there was no coffee. They had a pool table in waiting area. My first thought was they are not greedy. This young man walks up. ( about my son’s age ). Very polite. He told us he was going to test drive car. He came back , and told us the torque converter. ( not major ). I explained to him we were going to be driving 12 hours one way in a a couple of weeks , and would it make it. He said , ” if it were mine I would drive it “. I couldn’t believe my ears. Most mechanics probably would have convinced me I needed to pay 5 grand for a new transmission. He suggested some fluid that could be added to solve the problem. He showed Justin where to put it. Using wisdom, I asked if he young man if he could do it. He said , ” yes , but I’ll have to charge you”. Again my imagine get away with me and I’m thinking a few hundred dollars. I asked how much and he said FIFTY !! Then he said he had to order the fluid. I’m thinking it would probably take days to get there. I asked how long it would take , and he said “ about 30 minutes “. WOW !!! I walked outside to get my tea cup out of the car and I see him filling it up. I was tearing up. The whole thing cost 50 ( Most places cost at least twice that to even look and see what’s wrong). Here is the thing :: I HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR GOD TO SEND SOMEONE TO HELP. THIS MORING I PRAYED FOR THE MECHANIC BEFORE WE EVEN GOT THERE , AND I ASKED GOD TO ” HELP HIM WITH HONESTY.HE PROVIDES. HE ANSWERS PRAYERS THAT ARE IN LINE WITH HIS WILL.Love , peace and blessings ?This was Mr. transmission in E town / Radcliff , Kentucky.Services: General repairs & maintenance

I just call for information and advice for my vehicle. Joey provided useful troubleshooting information. If that does not fix the problem, I will definitely be taking my vehicle to them.

On January 28, 2022, I had my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd towed to Mr. Transmission in Elizabethtown, KY. I spoke to Joey, the owner who said that he would have to rebuild or replace the transmission and it would cost $3500. I paid him and waited for him to call. After a few days, he called and I went to pick it up. As I was behind on getting farm work done without my truck, I got to work and did not test the 4wd at that time but it seemed to drive fine. Later that night, I tested the 4wd and got what I call a dead stick. I tried contacting Joey the next day but he was not there. Over the following month, I made many calls and stopped by the shop many times. I also had 4 different mechanics look at it. Each one said that it was not put together right. Each time, I was told that Joey and his son were both out. Sometimes, they had a family emergency, sometimes just out. Evidently, nobody was authorized to speak to me other than them. On Feb 28, 2022, the transmission stopped working at all and I had to get it towed again. I finally got Joey on the phone the next day and arranged for a rollback to pick it up and take it to him. The rollback driver and his assistant both said that it was not put together right and that the linkage had never been hooked up. As two of the mechanics who had looked at it said those exact same words, I had no reason to doubt them. Once Joey got the truck back, he claimed that I must have hit something on the road and broke the transfer case. He said that it would cost another thousand dollars to fix then said that he would do it for $800. It is spring in KY and I live on a farm. I need a 4wd truck in order to keep my animals fed and healthy. I have had to spend a lot of cash and call in a lot of favors to do this over the last 3 months. I just want my truck fixed right since that was the agreement when I laid out $3500. May 17th, Joey finally responded saying that only a moron could screw it up since it is only six bolts and that I should call someone else to replace the transfer case since I had no confidence in him. I agreed. I have no idea how much it is going to cost to fix what he broke but I will not put more money in his pocket. Business Response 05

Took my 2007 Nissan Frontier with 178,800 miles to Mr. Transmission in Radcliff KY for a tuneup and O2 sensor replacement. Joey, the owner, went over every detail of the work and gave me the exact cost. He later contacted me to let me know about another problem (which I already knew about so I know he wasn't trying to upsale me) He and his team did a great job on time. My mileage has improved and the truck runs great. I recommend this shop with confidence and will go back for any needed maintenance that I cannot do myself. Top Notch operation run by very good and qualified people. Thanks Joey

Joey was very friendly and professional. We came in with an older model Jeep that kept dying and was throwing transmission codes. After an initial transmission rebuild and replaced the torque converter the vehicle was still dying every time it was put in gear. Joey and his team kept at it until they found the problem and fixed it without charging and arm and a leg for it. I highly recommend Mr. Transmission in Radcliff.Service: Transmission
