Came in from southern Indiana for a friend's wedding in Leitchfield. Owner was kind enough to let me in the room early (I forgot about time change). Service is great. Rooms was really nice. Common area is a nice treat and the back patio is amazing. I will definitely stay here again if ever in the area
Rooms: Well decorated. Decent size and the shower was awesome
Safety: Never felt more safe anywhere.

Loved our stay at this updated motel! Clean rooms and all the necessities you could need. Loved the community area! 5 minute drive to the lake and campground.

I cannot wait to come back to the St.Clair! My friends and I had an absolute blast staying there for a weekend. It’s such a special little slice of KY heaven. It was perfect. Whether we were catching up around the long picnic tables, eating pizza and watching the sunset, laughing around the bonfire over drinks and snacks, or dancing and playing games in the common room, we could not have picked a more perfect place to stay. I can’t believe it took me this long to come check it out!
We celebrated my bachelorette weekend, but I truly believe there is something for everyone at the St.Clair, in any season of weather too! Both sides of my family are wanting to plan fun family weekends. My fiancée and I would love to do a couples’ trip with friends. My maid of honor mentioned doing her 30th birthday there too!
Rooms: The rooms are gorgeous and surprisingly spacious. They’re incredibly clean, cute, and very functional. It was amazing to come back to such a cozy space after a long, hot day on the lake. I could have slept in all day, but I didn’t want to miss out on a beautiful day on the water!
The common room and kitchen space are also phenomenal. Same as the bedrooms - they were so intentionally made with the perfect balance of function and style!
Nearby activities: Clement’s Marine is 0.3 miles away, and they drop the rental boats in directly across the street from the Motel! It’s perfect. There are also so many board games, volleyball, corn hole, and fire pits all at the Motel. It’s so much fun.
Walkability: There is really no need to walk anywhere since the St.Clair has everything you could need, but you totally could! There is a restaurant nearby that we noticed on the way to Clement’s for the boat rental. The lake entrance is directly across the street with a dock too.
Food & drinks: The community area had all that you could need to prepare food and drinks. We had a great picnic outside our first night, and we ordered pizza to deliver the second night. We did big brunches in the morning and had plenty of space for all of it. It is rare that you can find a place that’s so well built for groups, but it really could not have been better. I have done many group trips to both Airbnbs and hotels, and this was the best set up I’ve experienced by a landslide!
Noteworthy details: The owner Jill just knows how to create magic! She simply thought of it all. From the sunscreen for sale in her office to the pop up ice buckets in each room, there’s truly nothing that you could need. Even all the soaps and lotions smell delish, and I rarely ever like hotel products! It’s the most precious place. There are Kentucky pillows and vintage decor all around. There are the cutest little back patios to some of the rooms with twinkle lights and mini torches. Kurigs and coffee pots. The front sign is the best, and it was customized for our event, which was such a sweet surprise! The St.Clair has such a nostalgic, homey feel while still being so new and fresh. You simply must go!

Trust me I am not the kind of person to typically stay in a roadside motel but this isn’t like any other motel. It is freshly remodeled. The rooms are extremely clean. I felt safe and comfortable the whole time. I would recommend this place to anyone. The price is also amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is beautiful! So glad I chose it. Very clean, nicely decorated, & the good coffee was a plus! I had some problems getting my AC to work so I checked out early but stuff happens so I wasn’t upset by it. I let the owner know & I’m sure she’ll fix it. She has done an amazing job with this property!

Stopped here for a night on my cross-country road trip to see the eclipse in 2024. This place is a gem: comfortable modern rooms, fun lake-themed decor, free-use fire pit stocked with kindling and firewood, and a very comfortable and well-appointed kitchen/common room. And of course it's right across the street from the lake. The staff I interacted with were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again, or recommend to a friend.

We flew here in our tin can and got a short ride over to the motel. Watching the rolling farmland in the morning from our patio was a special treat. Interior decoration is aesthetically pleasing. Rooms are very well appointed. It’s quiet out here, except for the birds, an occasional moo, and of course people enjoying the lake. You’re not going to get anything like this experience at this price point. I’d love to call it retro, but motels just didn’t come this nice in the 60’s.

Amazing place to stay. Jill is so thoughtful and welcoming, and the rooms are adorable. Clearly a well thought out and executed renovation of a lovely inn. So many cute touches that really make the stay so worth it. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Me and my boyfriend really enjoy staying here! One thing that I really like about it is they have an actual coffee maker (Keurig)! We were thrilled to see a real coffee maker because most hotels don't have a real one. Very neat and super cute little theme too. Great vibes all the way. There is a back porch too. Oh yes and the showers brilliant! Will be staying again.

I love this place. Completely beautifully renovated, totally clean, super nice owner. Bed so comfy hubby wants to buy one like it. I love the atmosphere and quiet, chairs to sit outside of your room. A commons area well stocked with kitchen gadgets to cook if you want, or just a place to gather, have a cup of coffee, chat. A fire pit I would love to sit around sometime. And all the plants/landscaping - ! Checks all the boxes for me. Thanks for renovating an older property, making it awesome and sharing it with folks like us.

This is a fantastic place to stay and enjoy the area. The rooms are beautiful as well as very neat and clean. The commons area and fire pit area are fantastic. We had the deluxe king room that had a semi private patio in the back which made for awesome views of the sunset.
