“Over the years, we’ve had 8 interstate moves and none of the movers we’ve worked with have come close to the great job that Nelson Markesbery (Allied Van Lines) did. From the first contact to the delivery, Scott Warner and the entire team that packed and loaded our belongings were tremendous. The communication was excellent: explaining every term and meaning in what initially looked like an intimidating contract, asking questions during the entire process to make sure things were being done right and as we wanted, and even offering suggestions on how to make the move more affordable. Re: the cost, we did look at credible movers with lower estimates, but felt much more comfortable with entrusting our belongings that have been collected over decades. We felt that other estimates were likely lowball ones. And in the end, our actual costs were actually several thousand dollars below the original estimate - we greatly appreciated the “no surprise” approach. We did encounter one hiccup in the delivery that was not due to anything on the mover’s side. But Scott was remarkable in quickly dealing with it and providing a creative solution that didn’t result in any additional costs to us. The Nelson Markesbery team exceeded every expectation and we would not hesitate to use them again or refer them to others.”
