Great Pharmacy. Of all the pharmacies I have had the privilege to use Binter is the best, #1 in my book. The staff is fantastically awesome. They are respectful, helpful, and knowledgeable, positive, communicative I can't say enough. I know many people feel differently, but I suggest that each time you have a negative experience please remember that we are lucky to have the privilege, which can be taken away at any time, to receive our medication at no cost. Imagine how much it would cost to have to pay for our medication, I know I cannot afford to pay for my medication. In actuality, the pharmacy's budget barely covers the cost of medication they provide, especially the special-order medication.
Thank you Binter for all you do.

I don't understand why you have to go to the pharmacy twice to pick up a prescription since they already have your information. Now if it's a paper prescription I get that, but not when a Doc sends a electronic prescription, service is great other than this.

It's a military facility and I have NEVER had a problem. On the contrary...they go out of their way to help someone who suffers a medical emergency. Best pharmacy EVER

Prior authorization of medications is not done like any other pharmacy in the state. If a prior authorization is needed this pharmacy will not contact the doctors office where the prescription was written instead they tell you it is the doctors office who is responsible to know the medication needs a prior authorization. So you call the doctors office and they tell you the pharmacy is supposed to contact the Doctors office. This process goes on until you get a pharmacist at Fort Knox willing to call the doctors office to tell them it is their job! Then the pharmacist will initiate the request for prior authorization. I don’t know who can get this problem solved? Every other pharmacy will contact the doctor so why not Fort Knox? Controlled substances can’t be sent to Fort Knox because they only accept a written prescription but this is the only pharmacy in the State that does this? This needs to be fixed! First you kicked all retired military out of the hospital forcing us to find a Dr off Fort Knox and then complicate every process related to health care and medications!

No experience to share of yet , just a suggestion, I know this would be an additional expense, but if we were able to deliver medication to or well deserving VETS that were unable to pick those meds themselves it would help with the flow in and out. Plus create a high value Job for security professional in Base.

I was told I would get a call in 2 to 3 hours to lmk my prescription was ready. NEVER HAPPENED!!! I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IT NOW takes 2 to 3 hours what was usually done in 30 to 45 minutes. I believe someone it not doing what they should be doing; after all, other than masks and social distancing nothing has changed in prescription refill processes.UPDATE: 10/13/2020 Binter continues to have horrible customer service, horrendous wait times, prescriptions are still not filled on time even after being given a pick up date. My last 4 visits (once a month) I was told by the online system that "my prescriptions would be refilled and can be picked up by ..." then, I get to the pharmacy and THEY SAY: "I AM SORRY THEY ARE NOT IN THE SYSTEM"!!! They have a severe systemic problem and they refuse to address the issue as it's just like the Energizer bunny ... "it just keeps going and going and going"!!!

Why don't they notify you when the prescription you have that is out of stock? Instead of having to continue calling the pharmacy until they can fill it? Oh and when they can't fill it when you call it in, why can't they just fill it when they have it in stock? And give you a call?

I know the employees are doing their best and Covid has not helped. However Bitner is still being run as an overflow Pharmacy. Now that Retirees have all be directed to Bitner the process needs to be more effecient

I live in Louisville and drive 30 minutes to get here. Then I show up there is nothing, but the medicine I picked up 2 weeks ago. I have made this trip 3 times and got nothing. I came into activate and they said not here. I called and nothing. Then I spoke with pharmacist and was helped to go online to activate refill, only to receive a text telling me I had 5 prescriptions ready. I come from Louisville again. The 5 I had already picked up 2 weeks ago are ready. But not the one I need. I have been without this medicine from over a week. Good thing I did not need it to live. This department used to be very good. I don't know what has happened.

Worse pharmacy ever. The people are rude not friendly at all. You put prescriptions in and they tell you it will take at least 2 hours and that they will email, text or call you whatever you choose and they never do. The military keeps giving us retirees the worse or take away service after we have gave so much for this country. I think I'm going to start paying the co pays and hope others do the same and maybe when these people are out of a job, just maybe they will say maybe we should have been a little nicer to are retirees
