What a Heaven's place of hope, love, and uniting lost, abused and abandoned fur babies with families that have huge hearts and safe homes. Betty, her staff, and the volunteers are wonderful caregivers and give how to these animals through their tireless efforts and love. We fell in love with our Maggie the moment we saw her face, abs she's a welcomed addition to our other 2 fur baby family! It's takes a tremendous amount of time, patience, love, and gentle nurturing for these animals, but OH how our hearts have grown and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Betty Martin LIFE HOUSE for your next pet!

I applied to foster a dog, was denied due to my dogs not being neutered. I thought as a pet owner it was my choice to decide if I wanted to alter my pets, apparently not if you're wanting to foster or adopt. I've chosen not to neuter my dogs because, I don't let them out or worry about them impregnating other dogs. I feel like I'm being penalized for not chopping off my dogs grapes. I could've provided an excellent home for a fur baby. This information was never stated on their site either, this is truly heartbreaking.

I would love to leave a good review if I could actually get anywhere with this place. I have sent an email and called several times only to get a recorded message. Seems like if you want a certain dog or any dog from here your screwed cause they just won't respond to you

I appreciate all rescues, but I don't appreciate rescues that lie and abandon dogs at a high kill rate shelter after taking puppies then having attitude when people call them out with facts. After I called them out on their page, they have blocked me. So I have provided the information here below. Kiah(the name of the dog) was not adopted out. She is with another rescue, one that I work extremely close with actually, and I know the vet office that took her as well as the foster home she's at personally. For a rescue as well as an animal control facility to both claim that she was adopted as well as that the "adopter" had just lost their pet, is sick. Kiah was placed on the euthanasia list at Sumner County Animal Control right after Lifehouse took her puppies. The vet office that goes to SCAC to vet their cats, pulled her because they couldn't let them kill her. That same vet office contacted a foster for the local rescue because they knew we wouldn't fail her like so many others did. Kiah was at AC for THREE WEEKS, and she is extremely skinny. She should not be that skinny while there. She's now in a loving foster home who is providing her with all the best cuddles and care a pet could ask for. I have also attached pictures of Kiah, in one she is wearing a diaper and that is because they want to make sure she doesn't have any accidents in the house while they house train her. By the way, Lifehouse, it's not bashing if I have evidence, vet paperwork, etc. to prove you're wrong.

I adopted my dog Bill Murray (formerly Buddy) almost 7 years ago from LIFE House and he is the greatest dog ever, which would by the transitive property of awesomeness make their rescue org the best ever. Seriously, they took the time to make sure we were a great fit, the adoption process was thorough but not intimidating and I'd recommend them to anyone worthy enough to be a pet owner. Here's a recent pic of my guy, he's got a gray muzzle now but still lively as ever and my constant companion.
