“Rebecca Ruth isn’t just for bourbon balls! The variety of candies they have is amazing, something for every sweet tooth. You can spend an hour in there seeing and sampling and shopping. But the hidden gem is Miss Risa’s, the cafe in the Versailles road store. She cooks wonderful soups, and makes great pimento cheese and chicken salad for sandwiches and to go. It’s everything you expect in a sandwich shop, but more! She also cooks Thai dishes, especially her chicken curries, which you can get from mild to blazing in heat. Flavors are complex and authentic! I haven’t had Thai food like that since I visited Thailand many years ago. If you’re looking for the perfect place for lunch, where you can get many of the flavors of Kentucky cooking, and unique candies or something exotic then this is the place for you to go!”
