I was astounded by the variety of weaving and yarn supplies. As a bit of a fiber snob, I don't like to use polyester or acrylic yarns. This store was a dream come true, as every yarn available was natural fiber! The staff were all very knowledgeable and willing to help share their knowledge with weaving and fiber arts. I will definitely be back soon! Only downside is the store is primarily online sales, only open to customers Fridays 12-5pm.

I contacted them about a special order from Ashford, because Ashford referred me to them. They took my request and had me spend time submitting a bunch of info, but then they ghosted me. I tried reaching out multiple times. I called the store and was told the person who works on special orders, Taevia, had told me it would take time. She told me a few weeks... It's now been 4 months and I can't even get them to return an email. If you don't want to do the special order, just tell the customer - then they can move on to another vendor. I kept waiting as I didn't want them to have done the work for no reason... But looks like they just didn't feel like it. I was going to buy a $5k loom from them, but bought it from Lofty Fiber instead after this experience. Highly recommend going with Lofty Fiber for your business instead.

Purchased Ashford loom finishing wax from The Woolery. Called first. Asked questions. They have knowledgeable staff and I am glad they recommended I use the finishing wax to seal the Ashford Sample It 15” loom I bought from a different store. I enclosed photos of the waxed loom along with the jar of loom wax.
The Woolery has just about everything you need for spinning, weaving, and fiber arts. My Navajo weaving teachers even said they shop online here for some goods they don’t carry at other stores.
Not only does the loom need it, but mine especially needs waxing because I live in a desert and the arid climate could dry out the wood and cause cracking. I followed their directions and the resulting finish was just as they had described.

This is THE fiber, weaving, knitting place to go. Amy Judd is a wealth of knowledge/cheerleader for your weaving arts journey. My wife and I loved talking to her and could've stayed all afternoon. Whenever I'm in the Lexington KY area this will always be a stop on our journey.

In-store shopping is only available on Fridays. Pricing of individual items could be hard to find, and at least one aisle was not priced at all. My daughter was disappointed at the lack of alpaca fiber options.Staff were super friendly and ready to ask questions. Spinning wheels are available to demo, which I have not seen at other similar stores.

What a wonderful source for dyes and materials. I own a hands on interactive history museum in St. Augustine, FL. We use the cochineal bugs and indigo in our demonstrations for the school groups and tourists to see how fabrics were dyed in the 18th century.Kids love seeing these demonstrations and these are top quality products.

If you are a fiber crafter, this store is an absolute must-stop location. The selection of yarn, fibers, books and equipment in this location is absolutely jaw-dropping. I could have spent all day looking through the aisles. The staff in the store are super friendly and knowledgeable. I told them about problems I had with a certain fiber and they were quick to give helpful tips and even provide alternatives that may work up easier. This store has everything you need. And even though they have an amazing online presence, visiting the store is 100 times better!!

It is a great place but wasn’t open when we got there. I will call ahead next time to make sure it is open. Online said it was, but online was wrong.

Picked up some spinning fiber the other day, and I was amazed at their selection. It is just a small offering compared to their website, but it was fun to see what I could in-person. My husband was having a fun time looking at the looms on display and seeing what we should get in the future if I decide to learn weaving, or add another wheel to my collection.
