I see all of these fantastic reviews, why were jerked around so much.
ITS ZERO STARTS, I HAD TO SELECT ATLEAST ONE.
Our "bad experience" started in April 2023 when we had some issues with our car sputtering after fueling. We took our car to Riley's with a few issues and requested for a paid diagnosis. Our car being a Chevy Cruz with minimal problems, seemed like a simple fix, nothing major. We were told our "problems" we came in with was due to the thermostat housing.
BOY, were we wrong. December 11, 2023, we are in the shop again with a different error code but still sputtering. This time we take it to tire discounters, which is my usual mechanic. (Don't ask me why we changed. I regret it!) We had an oil change and spark plugs changed. They informed us the thermostat housing and a hose leading to the housing needed replaced. I reach out to Riley's to inquire about standard warranty on faulty parts. This was clearly the issue by what I am being told, or a "mechanic-al". We took it back to Riley's. He proceeds to tell me they couldn't honor the part warranty because when Tire Discounters changed the spark plugs it somehow affected the thermostat!
Let's just say they ended up doing the work under warranty, but of course they found something else to get $250 out of us.
IM NOT DONE!.....
My husband picked up the car after Riley's completed the work.....didnt make it out of the parking lot!!!! WOW, here we go again. December 21 we get the car back and pray nothing else happens. Well, here we are June 18, 2024. Took the car to Tire Discounters this time because it started sputtering again. GUESS WHAT!!.........
I don't know what was going on in their lives during this time, but I am so sorry you all were dealing with this. I'm sure you and your son are nice people, but there is no reason to drag another family with you. This world is hard enough right now, we should be looking after one another, not scheming and scamming.
We are a very hard-working couple, we don't stop, we have children, and we are caring and compassionate people, but you were given so many chances to be kind, courteous and simply do what is expected of you, put everything aside and just do your damn job.
You affected our family so much that I am going out of my way and intentionally finding time to sit down and write this review. Along with other reviews. Here me loud and clear, STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE WHEN THEY ARE VULNERABLE!
My car is my money, let's not get in the way of my money. I will never return, nor refer you. My sister warned me, her husband had almost the exact same thing happen to him, weeks of returning the car due to laziness and lack of business ethics and customer relations....please don't call either, its over.

Got front wheel bearings, alignment and tire rotation done here. It wasn’t cheap but it was great work. Will return for any future auto needs that are beyond my abilities to get done.

Great first time experience! My teenage daughter's car was stuck in neutral. They were able to get it working quickly, and didn't try to convince us it needed new parts that it didn't or upsell to us. They were really friendly too.

If you have auto work you need done or something's off with your car and you live in the Georgetown/ Greater Lexington area/ are passing through, you definitely need to check out Riley's. They are honest and very fair in their assessment of what your car needs. They're not pushy at all but will give you good recommendations of what to do and what is essential for safety, or what is optional. They are a family owned/operated small business who supports the community. We take both our cars there and have for several years now. They have great pricing and great customer service, and many times have helped us out greatly by fitting us in even if their schedule was full. They are set up to do just about any type of work, from brakes to oil change, diagnostics, etc. Definitely check out Riley's for your auto maintenance needs!

Very honest business. Great customer service and for a good price. I live on the other side of town and I am more than happy to take my vehicle here. I believe they are the highest rated mechanic in Georgetown for a reason.

Jeff and crew were very kind and courteous fitting my last-minute oil change into their already packed day. Despite needing a new set of tires soon, there was no sales pressure of any kind from Jeff or the Riley's Automotive staff. Jeff even offered to send me a couple of tire quotes for my convenience. Riley's Automotive offers excellent customer service service and prices that beat Jiffy Lube (just down the road) big time! I highly recommend you pay them all visit!Service: Oil change
