I met Dr. Young in a Bible study and knew where I'd be taking my new puppy when I got her. I had to take said puppy, now 4, in for an emergency appointment after she had her first known seizure. I appreciated the Christian music I heard while briefly sitting in the waiting room. We saw Dr. Gover for the first time. He answered my questions, eased my concerns, and made sure I was satisfied with the appointment before we left. The entire staff was, and has always been, compassionate and caring. And an emergency visit was not $$$ like I was afraid it would be!

I took my puppy here for her first visit and a round of immunizations. I really appreciated Dr. Hubert's calm demeanor with my puppy and her patience answering my many many questions. Highly recommend!

Dr Hubert and staff took great care of our kitty, Marge. From routine checkups to caring for her when she was sick, everyone at Scott County Veterinary Clinic treated Marge with care and compassion.

I will never go anywhere else with my pets! The compassion and understanding the ENTIRE staff showed my family and me; was so caring, having to choose to put our precious Brodie down, to pray with us for comfort, letting us decide when we were able to say it was time, and to reassure us that we were making the right decision. ❤️ Your kindness and compassion meant so much!

The staff were extremely kind and very professional and they were very helpful to me while I was looking for a wildlife care taker in the area? we were able to rehabilitate a little squirrel that was in some need of love and care and they were the only animal clinic that offered any help?

Do not recommend. Went in for $120 medication which had been filled by SCVC for more than a year only to come out with a more than $400 bill and being told my pet was "basically fine" for his age (geriatric with known chronic illnesses). Was told there was an exam requirement which had been missed on previous medication refills so I was required to have my pet examed that day and have a full panel of blood drawn. The price of testing was quoted as one amount but I was charged considerably more. Glad I declined further testing or would have likely had an unexpected $500+ bill.

We took our dog in for multiple leg injuries. We had a vet that knew what she was doing. That would be Dr. Hubert. When we had to go in without Dr. Hubert in the office we saw Dr. Gover. He suggested after looking at our chart that possibly the dog had Lyme disease and suggested x-rays. We questioned him on the Lyme disease suggestion because there was a point that we knew the injury happened, and Larkin had a Lyme disease test earlier this year that was done at another vet. We did not trust Dr. Gover to be able to analyze the X-rays after his statements. We rushed the dog to Cincinnati to a different vet and immediately within five minutes and no x-ray the vet diagnosed him with a torn CCL. If we would’ve listened to Dr Gover we would’ve let him go two weeks without surgical attention. I called the office to talk through what had happened and stated I trusted one of the other doctors. And that we would like another Dr. in the practice to become familiar with our dog in case the Dr we usually go to is Out of office. The answer that I received from the owner, Dr. Young is that if we couldn’t feel confident in all of the vets we should not continue to come to her business and find another place to take our pet. She showed no form of empathy for what happened and was completely defensive and dissmissive, I’m disappointed she came back with a snarky response. The office will most likely reply and say that she meant what she said in a different way. Our experience outside of this is that we had trust in the other vet in this facility, others showed compassion when we brought our dog in over the years also. But the defensive, dismissive, and unsympathetic tone of the owner of the practice is hurtful after the thousands of dollars we have spent at her business over the years.

This is really the worst place to take your animals they have no idea what they are doing. The Vets really have no idea about treating dogs. They forgot that they were born with two ears and one mouth and should listen twice as much as they talk. They have their own agenda and that is all they are interested in.
