Not really happy with US Bank. In June of 2018 I got a new debit card in the mail. I activated it and it had a 2021 expiration and had my $8,000 debit limit. I used it for 2 months without issue. Then August 26, 2017, I was in town and went to use the debit card. I was declined. So I went to this bank location and tried the card in the ARM - declined. I went inside and asked the teller to check what is going on. As far as she could find out, the cars HAD BEEN ACTIVATED, but was deactivated for some reason. So she gave me a "temporary card". Two days later I'm at a vendor to do business and go to pay the $2,900 invoice. Can't do it. Only $1,000 limit. So I call the bank's 800 number for customer service. They tell me my original card had never been activated and that was the reason why it got deactivated. What? So how did I use it for 2 months? Also, they said they couldn't raise the debit limit on the "temporary card". Basically a $1000 debit limit and $500 ARM limit per 24 hours. Nice, really nice. They screw with my debit card, give me a temporary card that leaves me high and dry and tell me "That is all we can do." Time to look for another bank to put my money into.
