What a charming place. Wish we could've seen the old country store but it was closed for the season.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! I make the one and a half hour drive once in awhile JUST for this destination. Such a cool old-time rustic store with lots of vintage items, snacks, drinks (in bottles!). Be sure to hit both stores!! The yummiest fresh ground coffees in he area. I just found out last week that you can get your coffee sent to you if you can’t get in there. Be sure and look at the occasional antique items. Hubby got me an antique coffee urn for my birthday. I love it. And they are so friendly and nice.

Fudge is good ($17.99 a lb buy a pound get 1/4 lb free) Store is not wheelchair accessible at all. Has candy from older adults time (candy cigarettes, mars bar...etc) Prices are rather high but to be expected for a tourist attraction.

This place is a super cool stop.We stopped on a Friday afternoon in July.Items:The items range from fudge and snacks to jewelry and clothing to decor and household.Lots of unique pieces and some super cool ones. There's homemade candles in there that smell sooo good.Prices:This place is boutique-y and definitely an interest spot for tourists. That reflects in the prices as they are higher than I would've anticipated. I'm sure the quality and coolness of some of the products are worth it.Service:The ladies were super bubbly and kind. We enjoyed our visit very much!Ice cream:The ice cream stand was really cute. Prices were pretty cheap, especially considering the serving size. The mint chocolate chip was good, but not like "normal". It was less sweet (which I didn't mind at all) and less minty. Hubby loved the Snickers ice cream but did not care for the hot fudge. There is outdoor seating with just a little bit of shade trees if you hit the right time of day. There is limited seating under the covered porch.Bathroom:There is a single bathroom that has some age on it but the decor in there is quite comical. It was clean and working, so that's what counts.Parking:There are just a dozen or less actual parking spots.

Great little shop. Employees were awesome. Fun little gifts, candy, shirts, etc. We got there a little to late but the amazing folks at the old country store let us do the craft soda tasting. Highly recommend doing that. Picked out some fun sodas. We hit the ice cream stand there since it was hotter than blazes, unfortunately the girl there thought i was with the last customer she just helped so i stood there for like 5min. Before i asked for some help. The "Italian ice" is shaved ice so very crunchy and heavy on the syrup. Ice cream was thick, you can tell they didnt rinse the scoop between because i had some mint in my vanilla.

This store is a gem in Aurora! They have a little bit of something for everyone. Unique gifts for kids as well as nice jewelry. Their home-made fudge and salami are both delicious. I also recommend their icecream. We look forward to it when we visit here.

We have been visiting the Hitching Post since I was a child! It is a wonderful place for gifts and souvenirs! Fudge is amazing and the overall atmosphere is inviting and there a lot of attractions and activities nearby.

Everyone in our family of 5 found something that made them happy! They have just about everything you look for in a souvenir shop! From clothing, jewelry, candles, spices, old candy brands, gems/rocks, hundreds of delicious old soda brands, and gag gifts. The cashier was very patient with my son who couldn't decide which pocket knife to get. Try the Dad's root beer and the Americana Orange Cream soda! The little shop to the left of the souvenir shop had all sorts of antiques from the past as well as local honey, apple butters and snacks! Our only tiny complaint is that the ice cream shop was closed. We really wanted to try that too! Definitely worth a stop in!

Love the nostalgia, candy brands you haven't seen since you were a kid along with toys and great lake souvenirs. I go for the large assortment of coffee bean flavors.

Love the quirky selection and if you're looking for niche glass bottled drinks, this is the place to go. Try the Butter Beer, and if it's out of stock, grab the Butterscotch Soda for a decent dupe.
