Wonderful place to find very unique little treasures. Also the owner is quite the artist with some really amazing stories about his life. I suggest anyone who goes here to take a little time and take in the history and the heart this place has to offer.

This is an experience kind of place. The owner and artist is very unique and interesting. If you appreciate story telling, he's one of the best I've encountered. His artwork is fascinating. A must stop on the Tennessee/Kentucky border.

Total hidden Folk Art gem! What an interesting place. The owner/artist was really a joy to meet. What a character. So kind and friendly and very talented. He really made the trip worth while.Take your mask, as it is required to go into the indoor area. You will be glad you did! The art in there is quintessential American Folk. Ask him to hear the tales of the pink Cadillac!I hope that I am able to take my children so that they can experience his stories. He is right on the KY/TN border. Easy to find. Check out some of the Knick knacks outside for sale. He’s got some amazing hand painted gourds out there!

I happened upon this place a few months ago and saw his statues outside. I stopped by not knowing what to expect, but i am really glad I did! He has hundreds of folk art that he has personally drawn over the years, and fun stories to go with them! Don't pass this place by!

Unless you have an appreciation for the arts, art galleries are generally boring, especially for young kids. The Hazel Folk Art Gallery breaks this trend! It is very enjoyable and whether it is your first time or your 100th time visiting the Hazel Folk Art Gallery you will find yourself spending hours listening to the hilarious and sometimes incredible folk tales of Glenn Earl Newman! He grew up in the Louisiana bayou, in Cajun country, and his tales reveal the countless adventures he had with his best friends, his family, and the numerous "swamp critters" that will have you bent over laughing! Like any great folk artist, Glenn is able to bring to life each of his drawings for a truly memorable experience. He is also very fond of the military. Loves to hear a story or two and to tell one of his own. His own son served in the Army as a Green Beret before passing in 2003.He has over 1500 pieces of art that are all hand drawn. He also has other work ranging from murals, gourd art, and whittles. His gallery also has pieces from other artist as well-(clay pots, portraits, wire art, etc). The garage-turned-art gallery is a tight fit and not large enough to display all of his art. Depending on the weather, it can be hot/cold inside. Also there is a lot of tidbits that he sells as well such as books, jewelry, glassware.Be sure to sign in on his guest book when you first walk in. It's fascinating to know people from all over the world has seen his gallery; Australia, Hungary, Germany, Canada, India, brazil, are just a few that popped out when I scanned the guest book.Lastly, don't be shy to take pictures, ask questions or tell stories of your own! If you have kids they will really enjoy his Folk Tales and will brag to their friends about the swamp critter gang in their low rider Cadillac or the fearsome half goat half alligator Mutantgator! Regardless of the tale, you will be glad you stopped by the Hazel Folk Art Gallery!

Awesome place to view some downhome artwork. This place is a snapshot of swamp life in Cajun country. His stories give life and imagination to the works of art he creates.

The uniqueness of this place will keep you enthralled. And the artwork truly is unique. I love the "Lonely Lady", however sad it may be/seem. Also, the gourds! Love it!
