Worst car rental experience! First they’re the first one closed in the evening, 10pm on Sunday. By my picture you can see all the competitors are open. Second, I returned the following day at 7:45am the attendant at the counter look at me sand says I’m not open yet. When he calls me mover at 8am he asks for my drivers license and a credit card. I give him both and he says the credit card has to be from a major bank like Bank of America, PNC, 5/3. It can’t be an obscure internet bank that no one knows about. There are 5000 FDIC insured banks in America and these clowns have an antiquated policy.

I would recommend not going with Sixt car rental company. Due to a family illness we were unable to travel and retrieve our car. When reaching out to the company, they enforced a $200 penalty. Companies that can’t show compassion during an unforeseen illness will not be getting our business in the future.Edited: a month later and they never replied to the email they requested me to send. I repeat: DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!

Terrible customer service!!! We prepaid for a reservation with my husbands name. He has a health emergency so he can’t travel with me now. They won’t change the name on the reservation and now want to charge me twice the amount for the same rental.

Sixt refused to refund my elderly parents when they had to cancel their rental due to a hospital stay. This company doesn’t do the right thing. Sham on them!!!

I want give zero star but I am unable to. They will give false information regarding booking and they won’t accept their mistake. They confirmed us giving a rental car on debit card , sent a email too and we have travelled 20 miles to get a car but they said we can’t provide when we arrived here. Worst management and employees. Please don’t take this rental car at any cost.

I've rented from Sixt twice now and each time the experience was simple, clear, clean and cheap. I would recommend them in any available city.

The front desk lady was rude. It took me 4 hours to get into my reservation I made a week ago. Once I get the rental car they give me a damage rental car that had a bold front tire. Which I have to drive 4 hours to a different rental location and the service there is even worse. I had to wait an extra 30 minutes to get the vehicle which I drove 4 hours from which common sense would tell somebody to have ready 4 hours ago. The customer service over the phone is even worse they do not care about your problems I spoke with a number of managers from Lester to Amanda and all of them give you a different story they just tell you anything to rush you off the phone. Again this is the worst rental car service out there hands down!

I will never use Sixt again.... I was in Los Angeles and they overcharged by scamming.... I had a 31 day rental which they divided into two invoices.. I had ONE CAR which was returned ONE TIME.... I had agreed to the bring back empty and they refuel which is generally cheaper... they charged me 3 times for fuel... on ONE CAR with ONE RETURN.. by dividing into two invoices.. one for 28 days and one for 3 days.... total overcharge was $114.00 per invoice (they charged $11.45 per gallon which is $6.00 per gallon more than the stations) AND they charged a separate fuel fee of $199.00. The car had an 18 gallon tank... so over $400.00 FOR A TANK OF GAS.... I am challenging with my credit card and am sending a Consumer Report to the California Attorney General... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.... THEY ARE AWFUL. ALSO... they charged MORE THAN the reservation amount.

This was a great rental car experience! We were greeted by Hakeem when we walked up to the counter. We accidentally left our luggage at the counter when we went to get the car. Hakeem rushed out to bring us our luggage before we left. Highly recommend!

Best rental car experience ever! We arrived and got to the counter in the airport, and it was the smoothest rental check in with paperless contract sent immediately to my email. The counter clerk was so nice and we didn't have to argue about insurance coverages or anything like with other car rental companies (what a blessing!!). The return for the vehicle was also perfectly smooth. The person who checked the vehicle back in was also very nice and came over as we began taking our luggage out of the vehicle, made small talk with us while doing her exterior damage inspection, let us know right away there weren't any extra charges, and to expect our return receipt via email within 5 minutes. She gave us instructions to the elevator and restrooms, and wished us a safe trip. Such amazing service! We were so thankful and impressed with this car rental company and service!

Do not rent from them, you have been warned!We have rented cars from the airport area in Philadelphia. My wife recently had a rental, the car had a low tire so she proceeded to a gas station to fill it when the light on the dash came on. Sixt car rental is trying to charge her for a tow that never happened. The tire was filled with air to resolve the issue. There customer service is the worst, we have called 4x and it still not resolved, nor do they return a call. When you are on hold with customer service they will also disconnect you several times. This company is terrible. Never had a issue with Enterprise, going back to them.

They are THIEVES. I rented a car and they added $109 after the original prepaid charge for insurance which I did not agree to. I had declined this as I am covered by my credit card company from dollar one. They then refused to refund the charge and are now telling me that this is a franchise location and they can’t do anything about it. I will never rent a car from SIXT again. They are the worst.I just read another review of someone else who was also fraudulently charged for insurance. It is obviously a scam by the company. Most people aren’t even aware that they’ve been cheated.They never even sent me an email as they were supposed to when I returned the car.I intend to file a fraud complaint with the BBB.I strongly advise against renting with them.Postscript: It has been 2 days since I provided SIXT with the information they requested and a demand for the refund of the fraudulent charge of $109.00. Needless to say, I have not received a refund or even a response back from them.Postscript #2: It has been 3 days and no one has gotten back to me nor has the fraudulent charge of $109.00 been refunded.Postscript #3: Day 4, still no response and no refund.Postscript #5: Day 5, still no response and no refund. If they think I will stop posting, they will be disappointed.Postscript #6: Day 6, I will not stop posting the truth. SIXT will refund the $109.00 it fraudulently charged me or I will continue reposting the facts daily.Let me, reiterate, do NOT do business with them. If you do, it is at your own risk. You have been forewarned.I will let everyone know if this gets resolved or not.
