“Dr. Ben is the best! My girls have been under his care since 2020, I trust him implicitly. He treats my dogs as if they were his own, and I know they are safe with him. He managed my senior dog's Cushings disease until she passed in 2022 as an old lady at 15. He's helped my middle fur child transition from youth into her senior years. And he's been along for the ride with my youngest since I got her at 7 weeks. Highly recommend Dr. Ben!”

“My senior, soul cat Rupert only visited Howell for about a year or so, but they always treated him exceptionally well, especially during his final days. He became unexpectedly ill and Howell really came through with caring for him on an emergency basis so that he didn't need to spend unnecessary time in pain or discomfort at a large scale emergency vet clinic. Dr. John was so compassionate and sweet when explaining his options and ultimately administering euthanasia to put my sweet boy to rest. I'm forever grateful to this team and am so grateful he was taken care of here. I can't recommend them enough <3”
“Dr. Helen Garber has been wonderful each time we’ve gone in for wellness exams. What I do really appreciate is the staff will send you emails during the visit about different brands of food or hygiene items to try. FTAH is also very forthcoming about prices of procedures, exams, assessments and meds. I definitely feel like they treat my dog like a member of the family. Dr. Garber will talk with me, address Cash, “talk” with him, examine, spray cheese and whatever else which makes the overall experience feel better instead just a transaction. I may have been there a total of 30-40 minutes today which may seem like a while but truly I wasn’t being rushed out the door and all my questions were answered and follow up was communicated.”

“The most patient and pleasant facility I’ve encountered when it comes to my cat and my questions and concerns. Well priced and all around wonderful care. I have 3 cats and I would trust them any time. I don’t recall the woman’s name at the front desk when we came in but she was so sweet and understanding. I’ve lived all around the US and over the years have paid SO much money for my animals to get brushed off at some clinics (obviously this is not a full serviced vet clinic) but I wish they were. They are truly WONDERFUL.”

“My cat, Gooseberry, just had her first visit here, and so far, we love how patient they are with her! The staff is incredibly kind, and you can tell that animals are their passion, not just their job. After our visit, it’s clear that this clinic prioritizes pet comfort and health above all else, so I’m happy to trust my little girl with them. When it was obvious that she was overwhelmed and stressed (even after plenty of treats offered), the doctor came up with a game plan to have her come back another time, after some medication- that way she’s taken care of, and some routine procedures are less traumatic for her. “I have a chronically sick cat. This had caused me to jump from vet clinic to vet clinic, including a veterinary dermatologist, to find answers. I finally found Plum Street and won’t trust anyone else with my cats, their care for people and their animals is unmatched. As soon as you walk in, Leanne knows who they are caring for and gets you into a room. Dr. Bob spends a great deal of care in getting to know what the problem is with your animal and giving you several opinions or options of what the problem might be and what can be done. Before Plum St Vet Clinic, I felt most vets I brought my cat to didn’t really care to look deeper into my cats issues. We are so grateful for Leanne and Dr. Bob and all the great work they do!”

“For a center that focuses primarily on emergency and surgical care we found that MedVet (Red Bank) vet specialists, vet techs, and staff offered very personal attention to our dog and us as we navigated both surgeries and cancer treatments.
Even with a full waiting room, we never felt that our issues were minimized. Seeing firsthand the emergencies that came through the door on any given day, we accepted when our appointments sometimes ran late and never felt rushed when the vet techs and vet specialists spent time with us and our dog. All of our questions were answered and we were given options for treatment with an understanding of the potential risks and benefits.”
“I wouldn’t trust my pets under any other care. Dr. Hall and the girls treat them like their own pets and I fully trust he and the girls would do anything in their power for them. And in these trying, financial times, the cost is great too!”

“volunteers + staff were so kind when I visited. facility is clean, parking is easy. I picked out one of the shyest cats to adopt! got special instructions from the director, who spent time carefully explaining lots to a first-time cat owner (me). soooo happy to have this lil guy.
OAR’s been around for 25+ years. in 2025, over 10.2K cats spayed or neutered and over 1.2K cats adopted. sooo grateful for this organization!
“Once an OAR cat, always an OAR cat. In other words, if anything happens that prevents adopters from keeping the cats or kittens they adopted from OAR, those cats are always welcomed back.” I’m keeping this cat FOR LIFE. but what a wonderful organization & mission. ??”
“My little dog woke up at 6:30 a.m. not acting right. Having left a message on the after hours number, Cindy called me as soon as they opened and told me to bring her in around 10:30 and they'd work her in. This place is great about working you in for last minute appointments. She was in and out within 30 minutes.
They've hugged me as I said goodbye to several dogs, cried with me and allowed me as much time as I needed. It's obvious that they love animals and I won't take mine anywhere else. Also, my dogs go in happily. That's not always the case at Vet's offices. If you're looking for a place to take your pets, I highly recommend BAH. They treat you like family and treat my dogs like their own. Everyone is great!”
“We had surgery on our golden retriever. We wanted to complete biopsies on three lumps that Kevin had (our dog). All that I can say is that Dr Ghitz is an accomplished, excellent surgeon and I have an incredible amount of faith in him. He did eye surgery on Dakota (God rest his soul), and Dr Ghitz accomplished it perfectly.
They are up front with you about the procedure and costs.
I wish that they had some beefy technicians to help get my dog on the scales to get weighed, as this is the most difficult thing about any visit here. The little gel technicians do not provide much help in this regard, but Sinton hold that against them .
I have been going to this vet for 25 years and have never had an issue or problems. They went out of their way to help me once when one of my Goldens was too sick to move and helped him enter immortality. I will never forget this. They showed great empathy and I believe that they genuinely cared for all of my dogs.
They are not inexpensive, but what is your pet worth?
I made the mistake of going to another vet to perform surgery on one of my dogs partially because of the cost, and I will regret it for the rest of my life.”

“I will never go to another vet for any of my pets. The staff here is so sweet to my dog and I trust them and their knowledge of what he needs. The vet we had today was wonderful with whiskey and was very informative.
The entire staff from the ladies at the desk to the ones handling my of are always a delight. I love how well they are with my dog. He's a chihuahua mix, so he can get nippy. The staff know exactly how to talk to him and touch him so he isn't stressed. He is now at home recovering!”
