“I have been taking people to united ministry and they gave them all kind of food that comes from Kroger and Myers and Aldi. They donate to the ministry to help people with food. Now they have a thrift store there also. GREAT PEOPLE WITH A GREAT HEART.”

“This is where my special needs daughter goes during the day. It is a social and behavioral developmental center. The staff are great. The are compassionate and caring for the clients. They are quilified to handle or deal with these type of children. It's not only for children though adults with special needs go there to. Faculty is up to date and equipped for people with disability. Although I have been a pain to then from time to time. They still are the greatest. Think about the compassion and patience the worker has to endure in dealing with children and adults with special needs. My hat is off to all there. Great Job.”

“My brother and I were kids at DCCH from 1990-1994. My time there was the best of my life. I think about the children’s home all the time. The workers we had there were absolutely amazing. I can remember the last visit I got with my mom while there. I tried to play it off like it was no big deal and I was doing good with it until ms crow and sister Jean mari came to check on me. As soon as they walked in I lost it. They both grabbed me and held me like I was their child. I will never forget that. My brother ended up getting adopted and I wasn’t ready for a new family so I opted to stay at the home. I am now 39 years old with a family of my own. I owe so much to the children’s home. What I wouldn’t do to meet some of the staff I had while there!!! Love DCCH so much❤️❤️❤️”

“MainStrasse Village was within walking distance of our hotel and recommended by the hotel because of most establishments being closed on Monday for Memorial Day. We had a nice walk over to the German village and really appreciated the eclectic array of restaurants and old buildings and architecture. The area seemed friendly and there were lots of shops we would like to revisit when they reopen. We saw several homeless people in the area which made me very sad, however it was a safe area.”

“Fantastic! We have gone a few times as a family and our youngest did one of their summer camps. The staff (all ages) are very nice, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the farm, caring for the animals and sharing their enthusiasm with visitors. The summer camp was an amazing, fun experience for our 6.5 year old. Had a wonderfully, fun time learning how to do numerous farm "chores". Everything from cuddling baby ducks and baby goats, and baby bunnies, to milking cows, riding horses, fishing, sheering sheep, and plenty more.I definitely recommend visiting this place.Make sure you call ahead of time though. It's a non profit, run by volunteers. So you want to make sure someone will be there when you go. And to be sure there isn't a camp going on or a school field trip or something. But definitely a great time for everybody and anybody in the family when you do go.”

“Very professional workers. Could use more privacy. I watched a girl that was refused, and watched her cry. I was very glad for the help. Might go faster if you could fill out the application on line.”

“My experience with the people who run it are nice and polite. They seem like very good people.Unfortunately seems some of the people who they help aren't appreciative of the help they get and take advantage”
