This location is convenient and there is plenty of parking. I am not a fan of Kroger and that will not change. I have gone here a few times when I needed am ingredient, but that is it. The inside is clean and tends to be well stocked, but personally I believe it is overpriced. Some of the employees are friendly, but not all of them. The Starbucks employees act like they resent their jobs and aren't friendly. The only time they actually speak to you is when you are ordering and they act like you are bothering them. The drive thru pharmacy dumbfounds me daily and although I have never used it, I still drive by it daily and there is at least one line wrapped around the building sometimes two. Seeing this guarantees I wouldn't ever use the pharmacy here. In general I simply don't understand why this location is so bad and that management doesn't see it and fix it.

They never have prescriptions ready when needed…online tells you they are ready and when you wait in the hour or more long line then they tell you it will be another half hour until it’s ready…also they don’t listen to providers when they call in 90 day prescription Kroger only gives you 30 day prescription…They have a extremely poor orchestrated system…Will have to say Corrine the young lady at the window was extremely pleasant and helpful.

The Independence pharmacy is not structured to handle the growing need in independence. The line to get your prescription is always 15 cars deep or you go in and wait even longer. They need to expand and increase their help at this store so people are not dealing with this kind of service. It’s even worse when you wait that long in line then get up there and they don’t have your stuff ready like it’s supposed to and instead of speeding it up or helping you they tell you to come back in one hour. Always told that then you come back in the line again and sometimes it still isn’t ready because they didn’t follow through on their promise. I am so disappointed that nothing is being done or helping our growing community with their needs

My complaint is regarding price labeling... almost 100% of the time when I shop in Independence, KY store, there are NO prices on the counter breads, the fresh ones... baguettes, specialty loafs, etc. No prices, no purchase... I go elsewhere. This has also been happening the last few months in the packaged vegetable wall of lettuce, etc. Again, no prices, no purchase. And try to find someone to get a price! Even more a challenge... Although I did get help one day from someone in fresh seafood on un-priced items in a bunker. It seems the problem is spreading here now.Please, PLEASE do BETTER! I love the store, but am giving nearby stores more attention.

We like shopping at the grocery part of this store but the pharmacy is THE WORST! They never answer the phone, the wait time is excruciatingly long, & most of the staff are rude & incompetent. Independence Kroger wake up & fix your pharmacy or you will lose customers. I think everyone in the pharmacy should be replaced with people who actually work & care about their jobs. The horrible pharmacy has turned what would have been a pleasant shopping experience into a nightmare you never want to repeat!

The pharmacist manager is nasty and constantly messing up perscriptions. Well no worries ill take my business else where. Shame on the manager in todays daynin age not a good idea to tell people to go else where. Maybe you should go else where.

Placed a pick up of literally 33 items (most of which are drinks and drink enhancers) at 10am with items for my kids dinner tonight to be picked up. Magically my order is pushed back two hours later than I can go bc we have football and cheer practice at that exact time which is why I placed it for pick up at the time I chose so that I could feed my kids before practice yet here we are 330pm and I’m getting a call that the order I placed the order with 7 hours to prepare until it needed picked up but for some reason they need 9. That is the point of this service. We all have busy lives so it’s imperative to fit things in when we can. I’ve had more issues with this store than any others. I literally never do pick up for this reason.

BEWARE using Kroger Independence pharmacy. My daughter was only given HALF of her prescription last Sunday. When I talked to them about it today Ashley the pharmacist blamed it on the techs 'not being educated' (her words) and being able to read dosing info - EVEN THOUGH - I told them we always get 2 bottles and not 1 of the medication. YES - even a pharmacist double checked this last Sunday when I asked about it a second time! Now my daughter is so sick she can't get off the couch and is missing way more school than she should be. They apologized. And apology when any medication filled incorrectly can be DEADLY. But don't worry - they said they would talk to the tech who released this! UNACCEPTABLE! I will be taking this up the chain. Seems like they are all uneducated and CLEARLY uneducated people shouldn't be dishing out meds. Oh and she blamed me for not calling on Friday to clear this up....so sorry I was dealing with 2 kids that had the worst stomach bug I've ever seen and didn't realize I had to do their job too.

A big shout out to Independence Kroger. After the mad house it’s been everyone preparing for the winter storm, I was up that way around 9:00 tonight and really didn’t think they would be open, nothing was open anywhere except UDF. I went in to get a couple things and to see a couple friendly faces. Everyone was working so hard. The shelves were all stocked full. The store looked so clean and not a cart in the parking lot anywhere. Thanks to all you workers who was there in the middle of an ice storm and bitter temperatures. God Bless you all and I pray you make it home safely. You all deserve a raise.

We love the meat and seafood. The staff is a wonderful source for information. We ask about the sales, hints on preparation. I like the variety of items and love the quality of their products.

Kroger tells the media all the things they're doing to keep their stores safe. But there's never anyone in the store to follow through. There were so many people there today with no mask. If Costco can do it Kroger can too. The store is disgusting.

One of the best stores I have ever been to in the area. The produce department looked great and had everything I was looking for. The customer service was great and was greeted by many employees. Everything was clean and very organized. Usually, the departments are always full, even with the current pandemic situation.
