In a years time go from 3 to 4 bars. 6 months ago went to 2 bars, around 2 months ago went 1 bar to loosing calls. 2 weeks ago went to no service here at the house and that is using a Wilson cell phone booster. Something definitely isn't right and Appalachian wireless gives the run around. I've been hearing that they are in bad financial shape. But definitely something is going on.

For the last 6 months I have paid for cellular service on my watch which did not work because they refused to listen regarding the ICCID being missing. Went 3 days ago and upgraded to the new Apple Watch Ultra and still did not resolve the issue so finally had someone listen and assign a number to the watch but in doing so he fixed my phone to where it showed as private number and did not receive any incoming calls. Called back again yesterday and was told to do a SIM pull and network reset, this also didn’t resolve that issue so had local retailer put a new sim in. This ended up somehow making my phone act as if it’s not even on a plan although I paid the bill in full a week ago and apparently none of the customer service “specialists” have a clue what’s wrong and IT doesn’t work on weekends leaving me with nothing more than $2000+ of paperweights until someone “may be able to fix it” next week sometime but they can’t credit my bill for any of the time I am without service. I give a 1 star review only because there is no lower option, what happened Appalachian Wireless use to be the pinnacle of cellular in this region but now it’s a joke, pitiful at best.

I was with Appalachian wireless for 10 years and now I would highly recommend everyone switch to Cricket Wireless. They offer a better price and the cell service is better. Appalachian wireless was a very inconsistent experience and a very overpriced one.

The employees in the retail locations are friendly, but that is the only positive thing I can say about this company. My husband and I travel a lot for our jobs and even though they say they get nationwide coverage, I'm sitting in downtown Nashville, TN with absolutely ZERO phone signal. I emailed customer service (thank God for wifi) and this was her response: "for the type of sim card you have our roaming carrier is decommissioning cdma which is the 3g technology and that location may have it turned down there and that may be why it's not working for you. I can enable volte on your lines and that may help with your roaming experience." VoLTE was never enabled either and I still can't make calls. I have never had 3G at all for the entire year I've had this phone. They sold it to me, knowing their coverage area, and knowing that my phone would not work for me. When my contract is up, I am 100% switching. It should be noted that while my phone is unable to connect to any network, the AT&T service on both of my vehicles always has LTE signal. Appalachian wireless is the worst network I've ever used.

Paying $157+change for 2 phones. Very disappointed in service. See tower from house. Can't face time, dropes calls, loose internet constantly.

It's just service .Calls drop unlimited isnt unlimited. They slow your data down at 25gb and then you only get 106 kbps not even enough to scroll through facebook without lag.I wouldn't reccomend. When they have problems on there end you will be days trying to figure out what happen just to be told it's one of our towers and we are working on having it fixed . I'm set on a 30 day plain so if you tower fails and I have no service for 5 days then your still gonna cut me off.i really wished they valued there customers instead of there money.

I have been charged for unlimited data and did not authorize that choice. I have been paying for this service since February 2019. I have used only 1 gb and had signed up for 3. Appalachian wireless added that feature with out my knowledge. Horrible business practices. I'm old and have a hard time reading my bill. Shame on you.

Great product line, great technical service. Their customer service is severely lacking. Appalachian wireless has their own network here in Eastern Kentucky, which does afford them be best network for this area. And they know it, acting snootish and snobbish.

If you live in Eastern Ky. this service is the most reliable...Its not the best prices. If you plan to travel any major company will work.
