“This is our favorite place to stay. It's the cheapest around and the owner is the kindest person you'll ever meet. Others have covered the basics that it doesn't provide shampoo and conditioner or a hair dryer. Sometimes there are small issues in the rooms but they fix them timely and don't seem to mind at all to accommodate you or switch you to a different room if possible. This place is generally quieter and just as clean as other places. It has the best service with the best front desk worker/ owner around from prestonsburg to paintsville and Pikeville.All in all this is our favorite place and we have stayed in many places in the above mentioned counties around 40-60 times in the last six years.I regret not taking pictures of our last room there as it was a very beautiful and spacious room! That's one thing about this place it definitely gives the most space for the least price around as well as all the other great things about it.We did notice that one of the rooms did not lock from the inside on the balcony front side. While the back side did lock and you are sent that way to enter so you may not notice. I think it was room 206 or 207Rooms: The rooms are very spacious. Some could use work while others look amazing.Safety: We feel safe while staying here more compared to other places.”

“The hotel is a Pikeville classic with a historic past woven into the fabric of a booming Rolls Royce community with empires built upon black gold.

Today’s Landmark is being brought back to life through a remodel as a comfortable, clean, affordable motor lodge. Remodeled rooms include exceptionally clean and comfortable mattresses and bedding, new draperies and typical amenities expected in a higher grade property—in room safe, fridge and microwave.

Ample parking is available and rooms have outside entry doors. Deadbolts for the room doors are on the schedule as remodeling continues. As a single traveler, arriving in the dark, I was a tad edgy the first evening. I was completely comfortable the second evening.

While previous comments may have been less than perfect, the property is in transition and is worth the price and is a comfortable stay. A Mexican Restaurant is available on the 4th floor , however make plans for your own in-room breakfast with your Keurig coffee maker or opt for Tudor’s Biscuit World nearby.

The most important comment is, the reservation and check-in staff at this property is delightful. Hospitality is 5 -Star on their part.

“I was there for a birthday party in one of the cabins. I was unable to get a cabin for myself or a room at the lodge. It looked like the lodge and or the cabins did have openings but when I tried to book many many times online it kept saying unavailable. So I was disappointed I did not get to stay overnight. I am a native of Floyd county coming from Fayette county and was hoping to spend some wonderful quality time with family during my time visiting. It was unfortunate that the website was difficult to use and the cabin was not available. The cabin was nice and clean but yet it was very small and lacked some of the necessary utensils for overnight stays. The stove was incredibly small and space very limitedRooms: The cabin was very small. It looked like it was not updated like some of the others I had heard were”

“The pillows aren't very firm at all, but I brought my own out of habit so that wasn't a big deal. The mattress is firm and comfortable and the room is clean and quiet so I'm happy. The gym room was just a bonus.”
