“Sit right back and I'll tell you a tale, a tale of a great little store. The dollar tree was it's name, but it was so much more. The manager is a hard working soul, her assistant really is too! They make sure the stores in tip top shape, and the products are rarely strewn. The employees there are always nice, the bathrooms sparkle too.
So make certain to always stop by, and bring a buck or two.pick up something that you need, but be wary of raccoons!”

It has almost everything.The staff in this Dollar Tree location (near Patels Groceries) is really awesome.They're helpful even though most of products are of 1.25 dollars. “I come here when I need, like, two or three things on the way home and I don't feel like walking up and down walmart for those few things. Checkout and the people working at it are fine, and I haven't had any problems. Only thing about this location is all the items crammed into such a small space (it's not necessarily a bad thing, it just might make some people feel claustrophobic at times. You can still push a cart through, miraculously).”

“I love all the dollar trees !! I could walk around and look at stuff for hours!! I wanted to write this review and say sepcificlly that every electronic device I ever bought at the dollar tree has worked! Once you start seeing just how much of a large variety of items they have that are 1.25$ each that are made and work good you will save bundles of money. It will put in to perspective just how disgusting corporate greed is!! I can buy the same name brand energy drink at dollar tree for 1.25 and the very same energy drink at Kroger’s is 3.79$!!!! See the greed and hiking the price up 300% !!! The food caramel popcorn is delicious the snack cakes are good! I could get lost in the beauty , makeup section for hours. They have amazing nail products and makeup. The skin care with retinol for 1.25 work just as good as the ones at Kroger for 29.99. It’s just insane how obvious the corporate greed!!! If you’re not shopping at the dollar tree you are truly missing out on some amazing deals!!”

“I recently visited the Galene Drive Dollar General after more than a month away, and I was genuinely impressed by the transformation. Typically, Dollar General stores can be a bit chaotic, with merchandise blocking aisles and clutter everywhere. However, this location was a pleasant surprise. It was well-lit, clean, and organized—an absolute turnaround from my previous experiences.
The store manager was exceptional. She greeted me warmly and was attentive to every detail, including managing the store’s atmosphere and addressing customer needs. I witnessed her interaction with a group of young boys who came in after school; she addressed them by name and kindly reminded them to leave their backpacks at the door. Her approach was neither aggressive nor condescending—more like a caring figure who knows her community well.
She also made a point to apologize for the air conditioning being out, even though it was not immediately noticeable. My wife visited the store a week later, and the AC issue was still apparent. The manager again offered a respectful apology and used my wife's name, which showed a personal touch and genuine concern.
This store has clearly benefited from a dedicated manager who seems to be making a significant positive impact. It's heartening to see a store like this thriving with customers who were leaving with full bags. However, I do have some concerns about whether upper management will provide the necessary support to maintain this positive momentum. If the manager is not adequately supported, there's a risk the store could revert to its previous state.
I'll definitely consider updating my rating once the AC issue is resolved, as it will be a sign that the store is receiving the support it deserves. In the meantime, I encourage others to visit this store and experience the impressive turnaround for themselves!”
“Okolona Area, Preston St Location:
This store has come a long way! I went another location and it was closed. As I was headed to Dixie I decided to stop by the Preston St location and give it a try.
I was amazed when I walked in. The store was clean, shelves are stocked and the service was great. As I was in the aisle to get some cleaning supplies a lady was moving product to the front and lining items up. I asked if she was the manager and told her how great her store is and the improvement she made.
I could tell she takes pride in her store. She was straightening the products on the shelves that were already in place. Also, She turned me on to a new product! I will most definitely be returning to this location!
There were no boxes in the aisles, rude staff, and everything nice and clean. Plus the lot was clean which use to have food and everything in it.

“My kids and I came to this location on a busy day, and kayla was checking us out. She was THE only employee around. I listened to her get yelled at and shamed for “not moving fast enough”. Kayla was VERY nice, able to keep her composure, and handle the situations professionally.
It is horrible the way people can treat others. You never know what anyone is going through. Be kind.”
