Went there to get some ideas. Their floor is a mess. Their shelves aren't organized and ideas are just thrown everywhere. It's hard to find what you need. That place has really gone down hill

Had the worst experience today at local dollar general in LaCenter Ky had Halloween candy marked 70% off got some wasn’t ringing up right at register poor cashier tried to tell manager he then tells us we’re wrong it says Halloween decorations go back no it doesn’t then he pretty much tells us in front of other customers and cashier we obviously can’t read my husband gets the sign the manager yanks it out of his hand and just storms off we were just stunned no apologies from him although the cashier kept apologizing for him we were treated horribly shame on you.

Beware!!!! Any Holiday merchandise purchased at DG cannot be returned. It can only be exchanged for another Holiday item. This return policy is not vividly displayed near the holiday aisle, at the checkout area, or on the receipt. Other retailers fully disclose return policies (Walmart, Sam's, Dillards, Target). I confirmed the DG policy deep in the company website. In my opinion this policy is an abhorrent example if corporate greed. In my case, I purchased the incorrect Christmas lights and they didn't have anything else to meet my needs. I will donate these lights to a needy family.

I always end up spending too much here, but that's my fault. Everything is a dollar! It's easier to do than you think. They always rotate out new stuff, so half the fun is checking every aisle and the seasonal section. The employees are always friendly too.

It's close, it's handy, and the cheçkout girls names ,mandy. I'm single, so it works for me. More items could be only a dollar, so we need a five and dime store too.
