It’s a dollar store but a decent one in Lancaster!

UPDATE: Feel like going through the worst TSA. They have random security checks and speakers asking shoppers to display what they are buying. Not worth it.
I used to love shopping at Dollar General. But now, I can't even enter one without being targeted. The prices are getting outrageous, nothing is below $5 and their sales are all just prices marked up to twice what they were worth so they get paid the amount they first listed them for!
But I mostly just feel stalked. At one location the manager was talking to a friend (not a coworker). When I came in to buy flour they started accusing me of being no good. It was a private, yet loud conversation. When I got to check out, the friend who was an older man stepped in front of the exit and asked if I paid for everything I got and what was in my bag. He cornered me into the store till the manager told him to let me exit. Decided I wouldn't be going there unless I had my husband with me from now on.
Now I entered this store and as I was browsing around, an employee started to follow me around the store. I didn't know he was an employee, so I thought some strange man was following me around, so I started going to random aisles. Then a speaker came on and loudly announced that they have security cameras, that the cameras are watching. Yeah, F that, I left. That's super creepy.

Terrible manager, treats employees like garbage and the customers don't matter. After working there for 6 months, they told us to make the customer wait and if they leave so be it. Don't go here, take your business elsewhere or to another store.

Let's set aside the fact that this store has problems staying stocked. They also can't seem to keep consistent store hours. One day they might be open until 11 p.m. the next day could be 10:30 p.m. or 10 p.m. and the sign posted outside clearly says "Open until 11 p.m. EVERY DAY". EVERY DAY people! Not "whenever it's convenient for the store". Now take these issues and couple them with the less than awesome store associate attitude/demeanor/general helpfulness and you've got our local DG store... Fantastic

Some prices are still reasonable, others are ridiculously high.

Need to keep things stocked better. Maybe try letting your employees do the inventory mite get better results and sell more.
