I found the website a bit hard to navigate. The price changed everytime I put in a different pick up time. Finally got it done and was pleased with the price.After an hour drive to pick up the car at 8:30 am, I was denied the use of a restroom! He said it was too disgusting which was believable based on what the storefront looked like. Otherwise the rental was quick and easy since I had done most everything online ahead of time.

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! I am appalled by the lack of customer service offered at Avis. I will never be using this company again and you should really think twice if you plan on using them. There are plenty of better options. Our issues started in the louisville airport. Our flight was supposed to land at 10:30 pm it then got delayed so we landed at 12:30am. We had confirmed our booking and notified the agents of the delay. They completely disregarded that notification and left at 12 leaving us stranded in the airport. There were plenty of other representatives that chose to stay for their customers but unfortunately they were all sold out of cars so we had to pay $300 for an Uber. This morning I called and was told that a car would be available in the Lexington airport Avis. The gentleman that was working that desk was so rude and dismissive. He did absolutely nothing to fix the situation instead his response was “that’s not my problem.” Furthermore we would be charged $1,000 to drop the car off at the Louisville airport even thought it would be at an Avis facility in the same state. When you’re traveling and renting vehicles you want to feel safe and comfortable that the company you are working with will be there to help you if something happens. Avis is not that company they will leave you stranded and then ask you to pay another $1,000 to fix their mistakes.

Made an appointment 5 days in advance for a Sunday. Called multiple times leading up to the day, no answers at all. Then on the day of, I get a call from them telling me that no cars were available and that one would possibly be ready in an hour. An hour goes by and I’m trying to be patient. I finally give in and call them instead of waiting for them, and of course no response. I then decide to go in person and talk to someone but they had already closed for the day. No apology or anything (they’re not obligated too) but it definitely messed up my plans and had to make other arrangements. Definitely don’t recommend paying beforehand, if I did I would be even more upset about the whole process.

Don’t rent a vehicle from here! They royally screwed us today! We have had a rental reservation for weeks and the DAY of the rental, they called and said the van we reserved was unavailable. We have family coming in to town and we needed the van to shuttle people around. They cancelled us because apparently the people using it before us extended their rental. What? We got screwed by Avis. Never again. Horrible treatment by Avis in Lexington, KY.

Don't bother they probably won't have the car.I've attempted to rent from this location twice. The first time they didn't have the class of car I reserved. I ended up paying the a higher rate for a worse car. The second time they didn't have any cars at all. That time I had booked through a 3rd party site (Costco). I called Costco and they directed me to go to the Avis location at the airport. Once I got to the airport I was told to that the Broadway Avis is a "franchise store" and the "corporate store" at the airport couldn't assist me. Ended up rebooking with another agency and still working on getting the difference refunded. I've wasted enough time with this location and I'll never use them again.

I informed the rep that I would be turning in the car after close on Sunday. He showed me where the key drop was located. He NEVER mentioned that I would be charged real time for Monday morning when he checked the car in. I was charged for an extra day without ANY knowledge. If I had known that, I would've keep the vehicle until the next morning.

Worst rental company EVER!!!! You would be better off using Uber or Turo and pay by the hour to save money on a 3 day rental. After they change the price on your rental, add imaginary fees, then make a second charge altogether. I paid over $1,600 for a 2 day rental on an intermediate car rental. They told me it would be $215. Pure theft. And they take even more money months later….. If it was a lie I would be forced to remove this post but I have pictures and an attorney who say otherwise

When I arrived @ Avis on Broadway, the young man told me the system was down and he was unable to get my rental car! So I went to Bluegrass Airport and they were out of cars also! I had a reservation and to summarize, I did not get a rental car.

They do not actually have any cars here! You will get sent to the airport where they charge you an extra 200 ?♀️. While we were waiting, 2 more people came in, also with reservations, and were told the same thing. No cars. Call customer service, and the only thing they can do is send all of us on and charge more. It's definitely a bait and switch.

This is the WORST car rental experience I have ever have. I have rented solely from AVIS for almost 20 years.When we picked up the car, we noticed a smoke smell but we were in a hurry to get home. On the way home we realized that the car was not clean and the windshield was smudged. When we attempted to clean the windshield it seemed like there was some sort of film on the inside and cleaning it only made it harder to see out. We also realized that the smoke smell was significantly worse than we originally thought.At this point the location we picked up from was closed so I called AVIS and spoke with Amalia. She assured me that the Lexington airport had cars and that we could drive there and switch it out. So I drove out to the airport only to find that they had no cars. I then waited for them to attempt to clean the care with no success. The film on the windshield was impossible to remove. They only made a circle on the drivers side that you could see out. So we went back home. We needed to leave first thing the next morning for a convention in Wisconsin.The next morning we drive back to the location we rented from. They also didn’t have any cars available. They told us to drive to the Louisville airport to switch it out. So we did.The smoke was so bad in the car that on the way to Louisville we were all coughing and our eyes were watering. My niece has terrible asthma and she had a really hard time with the journey. When we arrived, Henry checked the car and wrote a note on our documents saying that the smoke was really bad. He could smell it just when we opened the window. We went inside and Dejenae helped us get another vehicle. I am thankful for that. It was sufficient. It was an older model Rav4 but it was WAY better than the smokey vehicle we had.We made the rest of the journey without any issues but I have never had this bad of an experience with AVIS. You should all be ashamed of this.

Excellent customer service from Michael and Ricardo they along with all the Avis staff make sure getting into a vehicle is always a smooth easy transaction , they are always as friendly as they are professional, never any problems and that is from the past 15 years renting with Avis , all of the different locations over the years provided 5 star service , but this location really stands out for service always get the vehicle I reserved always new or like new and ready for me upon arrival , these guys know how to take care of you when you need a vehicle 5 STARS Across the board

Charged a double deposit of $250.0] ea,ttl of $500.00 was told it would clear up in 14 business days. When I asked how this happened I was told it was a systems error. System errors happen use to human error. Expected more than these kind of errors from a $million corporation!!
