If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We had over $8,000 withdrawn out of our company account over the weekend unexpectedly with no signs of ever getting it back. I was in sheer panic mode freaking out about this, and I called Matthew Robertson on a Saturday afternoon and he answered and assured me of as much as he could on a Saturday, and told me he would talk to Laura who specializes in these issues Monday morning. They called me at 9 AM and walked me through everything. The next day we had the funds back in our account. Ive NEVER had this kind of service, personalization, and care at ANY business ever, let alone a bank. If you don't go to Bank Of The Bluegrass, you're banking at the wrong bank. I cannot say enough good things, I HIGHLY recommend!!!!!

Gene Cooper is the absolute BEST. I’ve been shopping around for a new bank account and he found the perfect one that fit my needs. He made the process of opening an account so easy and seamless. I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Gene for all of your banking needs. So excited to start my journey with Bank of the Bluegrass all thanks to Gene!

Jennifer Frye helped tremendously in getting what I needed done to sell my house. I don't think I could've done it without her. She helped me throughout the process and also got a great loan for my cousin Steven so he could purchase the house. She was truly a Godsend to both of us. If you need help in purchasing a home, call her. Thanks so much!

We initially were getting our mortgage loan with PNC but found it extremely difficult to get in touch with our loan officer. We decided to go with Bank of the Bluegrass and are SO glad we did! Our mortgage loan officer was Jennifer Frye. She was accessible throughout the entire process, and seemed personally invested in our pursuit. She went above and beyond to make our dream of owning a home a reality. I highly recommend Bank of the Bluegrass and Jennifer Frye.

Best bank & staff ever! Thank God for Jennifer Frye and Bank of the Bluegrass! I started my first time home buyer journey around 3 months ago. Forty four yrs old and another bank was attempting to put my recently deceased aunt's house in foreclosure and auction it on the courthouse steps. I was given Jennifer Frye's number from a real estate agent, and it must have been divine providence or maybe a miracle. I explained to her what was going on and from there it just took off. From help with a will, the courts, the other bank, probate courts, I never felt more confident. I now live in the house I grew up in part time, one of the last places my mom stayed before she passed away in 1995. I cannot say enough about Jennifer Frye and Bank of The Bluegrass. Thank you sssooo much and God Bless.Sincerely,Steven Goodlett

We recently completed a 2,400 mile cross-country move to Lexington and Chris Boaz and Bank of the Bluegrass ("BOB" as we call our new bank!) helped us open up new bank accounts and recentered our somewhat complex financials before we even arrived. While big box banks make excuses and require you to adapt to their processes and formulas, Chris took the time to understand who we were and what we needed and then made it happen. After we completed our move, I had a question about their on-line banking systems (which are stellar by the way) and thought I'd call and leave a message since it was a Saturday - but Corey Zacher answered the phone and walked me through the solution. Customer service is alive and well at this very special small bank! In my 50 years of banking relationships, I've heard lots of banks say they care. This one does.

Jennifer Frye was both friendly and professional through the entire mortgage funding process. She knows her job very well and took very good care of us. Even after the closing, she continues to check in on us. I highly recommend Bank of the Bluegrass and especially Jennifer Frye.

It was like coming home when I walked through the doors of the Southland branch. I moved away ten years ago and have recently returned. There are lots of details to address when relocating, but the one decision that was a no-brainer was choosing a bank. Since I had such a great experience in the past at Bank of the Bluegrass, why would I go anywhere else? Many of the employees are still around and they have always treated me like family. You'll get the personal service from a smaller bank that's often lacking at those mega-banks. They now have three convenient locations for all your personal and commercial banking needs: Southland, Romany Road in Chevy Chase, and the downtown branch on High Street. The staff welcomed me back with open arms (figuratively in these COVID times) and I look forward to many, many years of doing business at Bank Of the Bluegrass.

The Branch Manager, Robert Jones, was incredibly helpful to me last week. The bank lobby is closed due to the coronavirus and I have no car. I got an Uber to take me to the drive thru so I could cash two small checks which I'd been holding on to for two months. At the drive thru I couldn't reach the window so I had to get out if the car to walk to the window. I left my walking cane in the car and asked the driver to wait there just a minute. As I walked to the window the Uber driver zoomed off with my walking stick! I git my money and then walked around the bank to see if the Uber driver was back there. He wasn't. I was despondent because I can only stand for a few minutes and now my walking cane was gone. There was no place to sit down in sight. I was about to collapse when Mr. Jones came out of the bank and offered to let me sit in the lobby a few minutes while I called for another Uber. This was a life-saving act on his part. I am forever indebted to Nr. Jones. If he had not come along and offered this help I light have collapsed and sustained real injuries.
