“My husband and I stopped into Ruth Hunt Candy Shop during a trip to Lexington. I remembered this little candy shop as a child but my husband had never been. Thry have been operating for iver a hundred years. We were delighted because it was Christmas and they had packaged tins and gifts available for purchase. Of course, we bought bourbon balls but we also bought some Blue Mondays to take home to our family. Blue Mondays are a confectionery delight that is unique only to Rebecca hunt candy shop. Our family thought it was the best thing they had ever tasted being the first time of having it. It simply melts in your mouth. Their Amaretto dark chocolate pecans are delicious without being overpowering. They also have other chocolates that are non-alcoholic. And usually, they carry in their cold case Kentucky Derby pie; however, on the day we went they were out of stock. I am just so happy that it was still open during our visit and operating and hope that it continues for another hundred years. If you want to visit an old-fashioned candy shop, this is definitely a shop you need to visit.”

“Having a post office inside a candy shop is brilliant. It makes running errands a sweet experience. The staff is always very friendly and there is never a long line. They have an extensive selection of Kentucky themed gifts and snacks. The chocolates are delicious and they have just about every type of chocolate you could ever want. They also decorate their store for each holiday!
Now as for the actual post office section, it’s great! I’ve sent out many packages from this location and never have a problem. 10/10 recommend.”

“Loved everything about this place.Really cute shop and there is typically street parking outside or off of Woodland Ave.Owner is so nice, there's merch you can purchase but the star of the show is the fudge, of course.There's so many flavors to choose from (the names are spot on and so fun!) it is not overly sweet or dense. Best fudge I've had!”
