Used to be my one stop shop for all things banking. CCU no longer offers competitive rates on auto loans or Mortgages. There response time is very slow. I know times are changing to more online based banking. But I always liked going into the branch and getting to know the people I bank with. If I didn't already have all of my accounts setup with CCU I would be taking my banking elsewhere. I've politely tried to bring attention to the fact there rates are no longer competitive. And or the response time of there services. Hasn't done much good.

I was here at 9 a.m. There were 4 customers in front of me and one teller. That of itself isn't bad, but the customer in front took a LONG time. Nobody came to help. Finally, at 9:08, a second teller came to help. It's now 9:13 and I'm leaving after my very simple transaction. Another thing...they don't have withdrawal slips that you can fill out in advance to speed up the transaction. They want to urge people to use the drive thru here, but you can't make a withdrawal by check payable to yourself at the drive thru because the teller is off site. CCU... you can do better. There's just no attention to personal service anymore.

Don't bother, drive-through permanently closed. It's an ATM with a face. They said they want you to come inside and be face-to-face now. UK Federal Credit Union has a drive-through at every location. They'll offer a promotion for leave CCUKY since they closed all their drive-throughs

I've never had a worse experience at a bank. It was truly terrible. This is gonna be a long review lol We were in the market for a new bank and we prefer credit unions so we gave this one a go. My dad and husband opened an account here, we did a loan online which was wonderful, simple, painless, quite easy. We had 0 complaints about the application, the process, the communication, literally everything was smooth and done in a timely manner. We opted out of depositing the money into another bank account and just said we'd pick it up. So we went to the hamburg location, which is nearest to us. As soon as we walked up the lady teller looked like she didn't want to be bothered, but we had to go to her. She was horribly rude from the start, she said her name was Myra and she was the branch manager which is just astonishing to me. So like I said we were just there to pickup the funds, which is one simple signature and counting the money. It should take all of 3 minutes. Unfortunately myra had other plans, she proceeded to ask us 1000 questions, treat us like absolute garbage, and eventually told me that I wasn't a member (even though my husband and father are) and that I needed to go sit down and shut up.... Yes you read that correctly!. My autistic son was in the lobby so I did not cause a scene as myra the manager was already doing a bit of that. Had my son not been sitting there I would have definitely approached it differently, but not only did she treat new members like garbage she humiliated me. I'm a grown woman, and no one should tell me to go sit in the corner. This is the short story ofcourse but it sums it up. After that she did what she should have done from the start, and my father signed for the money, got it, and we left. I did speak to another supervisor/manager and she apologized repeatedly, and was taken back like we were, but this myra (teller number 0340) should not only be punished she should be fired! Period! I understand CMCU needs help, and employees, but they are better off to make ppl wait longer and see one person rather than have a teller like this. I'm serious, I can not even explain how badly this woman treated not only me but my father. She's not a loan officer, the loan was finished, signed, and cleared, and she had no reason to even ask us 1000 questions, let alone treat us the way she did. I'm not saying she represents this whole establishment but if she is kept in that position and dealing with the public then they will definitely lose customers. I won't judge the bank for one person but like I said I hope she is dealt with. She needs alot more training, and needs to go to some classes for social skills. Our banking experience started out great online but in person kind of ruined it. So if you can just stick to online banking!

This credit union is a pain to deal with. We regrettably opened an account in 2017, had a car loan and a home equity loan through them. If your payment was even A-day late they would freeze your debit account until you made the payment. After realizing this we moved our primary checking to another bank so we wouldn't risk that happening when other bills were scheduled to come out.Still having our home equity loan through the bank we opted to have automatic withdrawals each month to ensure the payment was on time. Well, February of 2023 we decided to pay the remaining balance off but we have been charged both months now even after paying it off and officially closing the account.

I received my re-issued debit card in the mail due to my old one expiring. It did not come with my design as before. I called into the call center inquiring how to fix this. They explained I could walk into any branch and update this free of charge. I took my lunch break to drive to this location and was told it’s a $5 fee per card. I explained how I had been told it would be free of charge. They did not offer to wave this fee although I was told wrong information and made a wasted trip. Instead I was told “it’s just plastic”. My main reason for wanting the designs is to know immediately which debt card goes to which account since I have several accounts with the Credit Union. I will NEVER return to this location. It’s not even the fact of the fee but rather I am a valuable credit union member and was given poor member service feeling as if this should have been waived or at minimum given some form of apology.

Used to be a really great place but now they charge fees for no reason and will move transactions(even date)in order to charge fees. They more recently are doing more sinister things but I won’t give them a heads up on that. I hate that they have come to this because prior to them expanding a few years ago it was a great bank.

I applied for a mortgage online with Commonwealth Credit Union. I received a Mortgage pre-approval from loan officer James Williams. My wife and I found a house we liked and put in an offer that was accepted. The purchase and sales agreement required us to lock in financing within 5 days of the date of the contract. I provided the Purchase and Sales agreement to Mr. Williams, who then requested more financial documentation to process the loan. I provided the requested documentation and reached out to Mr. Williams again for status of the loan and next steps. Mr. Williams then informed me that because of my wife's bankruptcy in 2018 (due to chronic illness) that all the paperwork would need to be resubmitted in my name alone and the process would need to start over. By this time, it was 10 days after the sales and purchase agreement was signed, and the sellers would not wait any longer and put the house back on the market. Not only are my wife and I out $425 dollars for a home inspection, but because the home was for sale by an owner who did not want to pay realtor commissions on the sale, we paid the realtor $1000 out of our own pocket for her help. Jaynel Christensen (VP of Lending at Commonwealth Credit Union) has admitted to the mistake of not catching the bankruptcy at the initial application stage and offered to compensate us for the home inspection but not what we paid the realtor, and suggested we ask for that money back from her. I explained that I was uncomfortable with that, because our realtor had worked for the money in good faith, and the payment to her was not part of any contract that she didn't fulfill. The misconduct was on part of Commonwealth Credit Union, not her. I told Ms. Christensen that I would not accept a partial reimbursement and that they still owe my wife and I $1425.
